Hello,
Thanks for joining this short report of my recent flight to Athens.
Aegean Airlines uses Lufthansa Terminal 2 at Munich. They have some dedicated check in counters at the ground floor level and check in was quick and friendly.

As I still had some time left before boarding started, I used my LH silver status and had some breakfast in the Lufthansa Business Lounge:

Boarding started almost on time and I took my window seat on this nice Airbus A320.

The flight had a high load - so no empty middle seat in the end unfortunately.
Some boarding music was playing and welcome candies were served before take off which really is a great gesture of hospitality.

Flight time was announced to be two hours today and a manual safety demonstration was conducted.
There were drop down video screens however they were never in use on that particular flight.
We had to queue at runway for a while and next to us an Air Europa Embraer heading to Madrid was also waiting for takeoff clearance:

We finally took off and started our route towards Southern Europe.
Quickly there were some nice views of the alps like that of the Inn valley:

About 30 minutes into the flight a very good tasting warm meal was served to everyone free of charge.

It tasted really good and was perfectyl in regards to quantity and quality for this European flight.
Unfortunately not many European carriers are left serving full meals on medium range flights.
A complete drink trolley accompanied the meal service and I had some water and coke.
Cabin crew cleared away the trays and some 15 minutes later they came through the cabin once more with a coffee/tea/water service which was very nice.
Soon we descended into Athens where we had a nice approach over the sea before touching down and finally parking at a gate position.

Thanks a lot for reading.
Thanks for this FR.
I hope A3 keeps their offering at its current level which is exceptionnal for European flights.
