Hello everybody,
After connecting from my flight from Munich I strolled around the terminal and skipped visiting the Austrian lounge before boarding my onward flight to Yerevan in Armenia.
Boarding onto our Airbus A321 started on time and I soon settled into my window seat in row 4. Luckily I had a row of 3 seats for myself this flight.
Blankets and pillows had already been placed on the seats.

In total there were 7 rows of Business Class today.

Seat pitch was quite nice but the Airbus showed signs of age and was also not equipped with any kind of monitors or inflight entertainment.
Flight time was announced to be 3 hours 40 minutes.
Next to us parked another Austrian Airbus.

The friendly lady working in Business Class tonight offered a choice of newspapers and magazines after boarding but no welcome drinks.
Safety demonstration was done manually and during taxiing the menu for tonight's flight was presented:

We reached our cruising altitude and about 25 minutes into the flight the flight attendant started to serve our dinner and drinks from the trolley.
There was no aperitif service or hot towels which I found a little bit strange for such a medium range flight.

I opted for the chicken and accompanied it by some water and red wine. There were two different red wines on offer.

The meal tasted very nice and was nicely presented. However no table cloths were used.
The flight attendant was really friendly and reappeared to the cabin many times and asking if you need more drinks, bread, coffee, tea etc.
She also regularly topped up your glass of water without asking. Very nice indeed.
Soon the trays were cleared. There was a quick duty free service before the cabin lights were completely turned off to allow some sleep to all passengers.
After 2 hours we started our descend and landed in Yerevan where we docked on our airbridge and disembarked into the very nice and modern terminal building.

Nice report of your flight with Austrian. I'm impressed that Austrian served a meal on a flight departing so late - 10:25pm! I flew Austrian back in 1999 (so it's been almost 17 years) and I remember how good of a flight it was. I definitely want to fly them again sometime!
Thanks for this FR.
Good experience indeed, however given the duration of the flight, the meal could be served like on a long haul flight, instead of just one tray with everything on it.
Thanks for your report. Cabin is always a disappointment on European airlines Business class as it consists of an empty middle seat. The meal looks tasty and I like the presentation. Too abd that ona such a long flight appertif is not served as well
as ahot towel .
