Hi everyone and welcome to this flight report which will cover my domestic flight between Lyon and Nantes.
About 3 months ago I bought my ride throught easyjet.com website which was easy to navigate on. Return flight was about 80€ with EZY, while 100€ with AF, I chose the first one.
So let´s get into it! I arrived at the airport 2 hours before estimated departure, which was quite early, flying from/to the same country.
Here was the entry of terminal 3, which is in fact the ground floor of Terminal 1.

I had a short walk towards terminal 3 (sorry for the blurred photos..^^)

And entered Terminal 3

LYS T.3 is for sure an Easyjet hub,

But also for other low cost carriers such as Transavia

I was surprised by the queue there was at Easyjet reclaim desk…

…but it was because of a flight cancellation and because of the delay of 2 other U2 flights!!

Mine was on-time!

Afterwards, I made my way to T.1 airside,

and to the security check

In winter, Lyon is a link to the Alps ski stations:

I cleared security in about 10 minutes (not as the 5 minutes which were displayed on screens)

and started my (long) way to the boarding gates, which took about 10 minutes

and allowed me to take a pic of the new Terminal 1 which will enter into service in January, 2017

and of a TK B738 in the distance

Then, I arrived to the gates

and had a quick look around the terminal

As you can see, there is actually nothing: a bar and a dutyfree shop a not enough seats for everybody, what a mess!
Anyways, I went for some plane spotting but, well, there were no windows!
Disappointed, I went to the ONLY bathroom of the terminal 3, which, by the way, was clean…and had windows!!!

So there I were, taking photos in the lavatory, as every Avgeek would have done ^^
These were my views:

I managed to spot some aircrafts as this LH A320 Sharklets arriving Munich

and TK B738 banking away runway 18R heading Istanbul as a U2 A319 was landing on runway 18L at the same time

At 7pm (15 min late), boarding was called gate D08, I was one of the first to enter the waiting room

and to exit this last one, followed by other passengers

Today´s aircraft is a 10 year-old A319-111 "G-EZAP"

that I boarded through the rear door, after a short walk (always a good point for an Avgeek^^)

I was warmly welcomed by the crew and headed to today´s seat: 16A

View from my seat

and from my window

I put my luggage in the overhead lockers and took a photo of the pitch

Cabin was clean but showing his age, legroom and seat are OK for an 1 hour-flight.
We pushed-back just on-time (half past 7) and took-off 10 minutes later.
Today' s estimated flight time was of 55 minutes, as our (super-funny) cabin manager told us.
Flight was unevenful: we arrived 15 minutes before schedule and I exited the main terminal at 20:45.

I won´t report the return flight so here are some pics:
Easyjet check-in area at NTE

This day´s FIDS

Boarding the aircraft at NTE

and deboarding it at LYS

Flight went smoothly and arrived on-time. See behind an amazing light distortion photo when I was managing to snap EK B77W

Thanks for reading me, feel free to comment and have a good one!
Unusual to have a FR for a French domestic flight in English !
I think your rates for LYS T3 are very nice. I went there only once but it was quite awful, cramped, and the "pre-bording rooms" are just cattle rooms IMHO. But, it is a low cost terminal, so we get what we paid for....
Hi, thanks for reading! Yes, I agree with you, LYS T.3 is awful. Great to hear that it will be demolished by 2018 and will be replaced by actual T.1...you get what you pay for LCC!
