Hello everyone!
About one month and half ago I started talking with my parents about going to visit Airbus Factory in Toulouse and they agreed to make it be my Christmas gift :D
I booked the plane about three weeks before leaving with easyJet, which seemed to be the best solution in term of price and time
The only alternative was with Alitalia which costs about 110€ instead of 79€ I payed for this flights
I also booked a very nice and cheap hotel close to the Matabiau Railway Station, 15 minutes walking from the city center
One week before leaving I checked-in through EZY app
That's the itinerary
2nd December Rome-Fiumicino FCO - Toulouse-Blagnac TLS (here)
4th December Toulouse-Blagnac TLS - Rome-Fiumicino FCO (YOU ARE HERE)
After spending a beautiful weekend in this nice and pleasant city it's time to come back home
About two hours prior to departure I took the metro and than the Tramway 2 to Blagnac Airport
It is actually very comfortable because in about half a hour is it possible to reach the airport

The line serves many Airbus buildings and plants

Around 5PM I arrived at Blagnac Airport

The Tramway stop is in front of check-in hall C which also hosts EZY flights
The entrance is on the ground floor while the departure hall is on the 1st floor

Even if the gate for my flight hasn't already shown I headed however to the Security checkpoint D as soon as the departure lounge is unique

EZY check-in counters
No need to go there having my BP printed and only carry-on baggage

Departure Hall D, the newest one in TLS, is slightly brighter than Hall C

The waiting time for the security checkpoint took about 10 minutes
Since the terroristic attacks to France the security control was quite meticolous
In about 15 minutes I was airside
The shopping area immediately after security

The departure lounge is bright and modern

Airbus Store with quite high prices
Fortunately I bought A350 model at Aeroscopia Museum

Even if the windows weren't so spotter-friendly I was able to take some nice pics of Airbus parking areas in the distance

A lot of A350s

Many EZY planes

I made a walk towards gates 1-30 (meanwhile my gate was shown to be nuber 48) and I found a better window to take photos

Cathay Pacific

Singapore Airlines

China Airlines

A380 and some A350s

Air France A320 pushing back

HOP ATR72

As soon as boarding time was close I walked back to boarding area 35-50

Brussels Airlines A319, Air Algerie 737 and Aigle Azur A319

The quite empty check-in area viewed from airside

Maybe someone is late for is flight?!? ahaha

Brussels Airlines A319
These windows weren't so good for plane spotters

The FIDS with my flight shown to be boarded at gate 48
AZ flight to FCO departs 10 minutes before mine

As it happened on the arrival a passport control even for EU flights was done

The departure lounge is quite nice but a bit narrow
Moreover the wooden net decorating the windows made impossible to take photos :/

The gate for my flight
I had to wait about 20 minutes before boarding started

The bird for tonight's flight

After documents' check we waited to be boarded for about 10 minutes in this sort of holdroom

Boarding was done by stairs
Our plane (G-EZBC, delivered August 2006) and Iberia Express CRJ on the left

Loving this view along the fuselage…

…and wing

I gave the flight report to the Purser and made my way to my seat, 7A
As soon as the other seats were occupied I ask the crew if it was possible to change seat with an entire row as the plane was not full
The crew asked me if I wanted to seat of the wing emergency exit and I agreed
The view from my new seat, 12F

Plenty of legroom to be EZY

Iberia Express CRJ and Air Dolomiti ERJ

Lufthansa in the background

View of the Terminal during pushback

After a short taxi we took off from RWY14L, facing Airbus plants but I wasn't able to take decent pics

Bye Toulouse! Au revoir

Since darkness outside was total I didn't take any pic until we start descent
Flight was smooth and without anything particular
Roman coastline

We landed on time on RWY16R at FCO that is quite unusual for a short haul flight
Etihad A330, Emirates triple-7 and some Alitalia's heavies at the Satellite

My love

New boarding pier, dedicated to long-haul flights, which will open on 21st December

European Pier D with Edelwiss and Vueling A320 and Ryanair 737

From the left Terminal 1, boarding area C and FCO's ATC tower
Parked at the gates Transavia and Ryanair 737

Ryanair 737 at the loading bridge is quite strange to see

We parked next to Transavia 737

While desembarking I said thank you to the crew and the captain who was out of the cockpit
The flight report nicely filled

At the end of the jetway there was a screen showing the flight number, origin and baggage belt
Very useful!

Arrivals corridor

Proundly welcoming tourists to Rome :D

I headed to the exit of Terminal 3

Baggage hall recently refurbished

As soon as I had only the cabin baggage I went straight to the exit

R(H)ome sweet home

I phoned my family, who was coming back from a vacation in Tuscany, and they told me they would have a delay of half a hour for the traffic :/ I was quite tired and hungry and I decided to make a walk around T3 departure hall which has been recently upgraded

New T3 facade
Before the refurbishment the hall was dark even in most sunny days

The famous "Uomo Vitruviano" wooden statue

The facade viewed from the Mezzanine

The Terminal 3 Fountain with Christmas decorations

Terminal 3 new facade
That is the original Terminal Building built in 1960

And the newer part of T3 (built in 90's if I remember well)

My family arrived as they said and we came back home
See you next flight :D
