Hello everybody,
Welcome to my first flight report in 2017.
This was the first time I visited the Lufthansa Business Lounge at H gates of Munich Airport.
Actually I was very disappointed by this lounge. I thought this being the intercontinental lounge for Lufthansa at Munich it should be big and comfortable.
However it was very small and very crowded. Also food and drinks offering was nothing special.

So the intercontinental lounge in my eyes has no advantage to the European Schengen lounge - actually it is even smaller and more crowded.
Boarding started perfectly on time and I took my seat in the back of our Airbus A320 this morning.
Luckily middle seat next to me was empty and I enjoyed some nice views of our neighbour:

We left the gate perfectly on time and after a long taxiing we reached our deicing position.

We soon took of and enjoyed some great views of Munich area in great winter snowy sorroundings.

The rest of our 1 hour 30 minutes flight to Sofia was very crowded and we always were over a thick layer of clouds.

Friendly service started with a choice of sweet snack or hearty cheese sandwich.
I opted for the sandwich which tasted good.

A drinks trolley with full bar service followed the snack trolley.
I decided to have a cup of tea and some tomato juice.

Flight passed by very smoothly in a quiet cabin with friendly cabin attendants.
During our descend we had some great views of Sofia in winter condition as well.

Thanks for reading,
FlyAlex
Hi!
You should be given an award for that aerial of Sofia covered in snow. It's beautiful!
I never completely understood the importance of deicing until I watched an episode of a series called Mayday, about an accident produced by a seemingly insignificant amount of ice on the wings.
Thanks for sharing!
Thanks a lot! The Photo would be even nicer if it would have been sunny during descend..
