Review of SWISS flight from Geneva to Athens in Business

Hi every one, this is a small report to our last flight from GVA-ATH onboard of swiss airlines.

We arrived at the airport 2 hours before the scheduled time of departure. (Scheduled depart time on 12:30 p.m).

The airport was crowded due to the easter holidays. There was a huge screen to show you which line you take to make the check-in

(although we are using all the times an iPhone application to shows us uptodate informations about our flight).

We made the check-in through swiss air app. but we had to make a check our luggages as well.

The check-in process was efficient (there was a dedicated business class counter with a good control to organize passengers according to their class.
We finished the check in process seamlessly. And we took a fast track line through the security ( but unfortionatly it was really crowded and not organized).

We went after that to the swiss airlines business lounge with an hour and a half to spend before our boarding starts.

The lounge was small if you compare it with other airlines lounges or if compared with Zurich airport lounges which is a shame for a national carrier that have such small lounge in their home airport. The service was great and the lounge was really clean. There was't a lot of choices in the buffet which is also a down side. The wifi is excellent and the speed was crazy, even there was many users at the same time, interne browsing was rapid.
We went after that to our gate before 10min. They announced over the boarding counter that there is a overload situation and they need some volunteers to give their luggages to them so they can put it in the airplane cargo (hopefully) there was alot of people ready to give their luggage's instead of taking them on plane. They wired thing that they announce also that the passengers must put their luggages on the first place they found on-plane (which was unfair, since we paid extra to have a dedicated luggage space near to our seat), and this a major problem for almost every European airline.
They boarding process was not that very organized. There was no line and every one was going to the bordering counter from every direction. Luckily we were near to the dedicated place when they announced the boarding.

Business class configration.

We went to our places in business cabin seats (1D,1F). The seat 1E was empty as like all of middle seat in the business class. There was no difference between the business and economy classes in term of seats (the same leg space، seat recline, and absence of entertainment system onboard) the only difference between business and economy class that the middle seat is blocked, and that you have a descent lunch or dinner depending of which time is your flight.
All passengers were seated rapidly,and we had a 15min behind of schedule because of the overload situation.

there was no much waiting in taxing for departure. and we departed during a beautiful sunny noon.

after we claimped to the standard route, they have started distributing the lunch for business passengers. since we are muslims, we marked this as preference in our accounts with Swiss airlines and every time fly with them they gave us a muslim meal with i like from Swiss.
the food quality was amazing, and taste really good as usual (since the Swiss laws forbid to sacrify the animals by traditional ways and they have to electrocute the animals to make it less painful, the muslim and jewish meals usually is vegetarian or contain sea food only).

during the flight they distributed a wet towel and a small bottle of water.

for the main screen there was an silent animation with was fun to watch, and to kill some time.

The flight passed really fast with these awesome views.

As a tradition of Swiss airlines, they distribute a small piece of original Swiss chocolate to passengers before landing which i enjoy every time.

we arrived on time on Athene. The time taken from docking to have our lugagges was around 15 min.
