We exited our previous flight on the G concourse
The FIDS did not yet display the gate at T-3hrs, only the concourse "F"
The Austrian Business Class Lounge Schengen Plaza : a long way
From a non Schengen flight, after clearing security, right hand side, then treadmills on the left then right then right again and you see this :
Then right again^^
Then it is on the righ hand side of the check-in desk (friendly agent there on our flight's day)
I have a good sense of direction, it is not my first flight, I know how to get around in an airport, this may well be my one hundred and sixtiest flight or so and despite all of this… It took me exactly 45 minutes to find my way to the lounge. There must be an issue somewhere (and it is not in my brain, at least that I know of)
Two coffee machines WMF Bistro, a big investment for the lounge : 10k€
The cold beverages and tea
The snacks
…apples, potato chips and bretzels. This must be a joke.
View from the relaxation area :
Now I have to admit the lounge is definitely not made for spotting because of the double glass causing distortion
But I tried and failed miserably^^ Fortunately, there is a viewing deck on the terminal, if you find it ! We would have had time for that but were too tired after already 3 flights and 3 more to go without stopping. This is litteraly flying at an industrial level.
Our aircraft being towed to the gate
We even saw insects ! Definitely a lot of spotting !
We napped for an hour and a half before leaving to reach our gate.
Boarding gate F04 before the boarding was called :
Boarding was called on time but not with the automated gates meaning we were in the wrong place and everyone in the priority lane sneaked in front of us, geez Europe !
Welcome to the cabin !
Once again, the same Recaro seats with red details :
The security card has not changed since a few hours ago
I continued my spotting session while taxiing
Take off video :
Engine bay view upon climb out
Talking about catering (this why you read reports heh ? we're hungry all the time when flying!)
The main consisted of a deep fried chicken (nice portion) and both normal celery and fried celery.
The dessert was a tasty chocolate/banana cake.
All was obviously served with metal OS branded cutlery, polyester white napkin with small clothes peg exactly like the previous flight, on a tray provided by DO&CO, the Austrian Vienna based catering company.
As soon as I had cleared my tray, a beautiful hostess came to take it really nicely and I said "perfect timing" and she was smiling like being recognized into the work she was doing, cute!
As with many other flights with the Lufthansa group, the approach begun on-time
This engine cover half painted red makes for great pictures !
And we're landing in FRAport !
After landing, we saw an AI 788 and few other birds including a SV 744F, a LH MD-11F a LH A388 and two LH A320 CEO SL
Ok, now that we cleared passport control, let's go to the 3rd Level where the Z gates are located.
