Hello everyone!
I had left you at the end of our flight from JNB in LH F. Unfortunately, unaware of the fact we were entitled to enter the FCT or access the F lounge, we spent our "time" (half an hour) into the Schengen Business Class LH Lounge located near gate A13.
I'd have to blame the crew of the previous flight for their ignorance on FRA LH F ground services because I clearly relied on them and had a "normal procedure" answer, whereas I did not know what was the normal procedure and they probably did not either, or voluntarily kept silent on it. This is the problem when you are upgraded and you do not fully remember what are the services you can get.
To be honest, I don't know if we would have had enough time to explore the FCT with less than 2.5hrs between the landing of the previous flight and the door closing time of this very flight but this was frustrating as we could at least have had the Class S ride !
Obviously, the Business lounge was crowded so I did not take any picture, sorry :/
On the other side of our gate, I could finally have a few pictures of a 747-8i !
The assigned gate was the A28
A "Huge" delay for a LH group flight : 13 minutes^^ The boarding was a small mess with people congregating in front of the gates whereas they had no priority. But priorities were enforced.
Our aircraft was an A320 CEO regitered OE-LBL, still wearing the old livery
The cabin was once again exactly the same as any OS short/medium-haul aircraft, Recaro seat on a 3-3 layout with middle seat blocked

The terminal is so clean both outside and inside

One thing I really like about Austrian is this classy red seatbelt
The crew kindly handed us our breakfast trays
It consisted (no choice) of a strawberry yoghourt, a small omelette with tomato slices, a choice of croissants/bread plus jam, and finally two slices of ham and two slices of Comté
Always with metal branded cutlery and a practical refreshing towel. The overall food experience was satisfactory despite the industrial look of the tray. There were several passings of the crew for the drinks.
All in all, the OS offering is pretty consistent for breakfast
As the flight is relatively short, soon enough, we were approaching VIE where the weather was cloudy
I did not have a lot of spotting to do once on the ground, and to be honest, I was more than ever in a RUSH !
To transit from our arrival stand to the D28 gate (so from Schengen to non-Schengen), we had to go through the luggage carousels area, which was completely misleading and meant we would have to go through security once again. So annoying.
