My first time in a B787. :) :) And it was amazing….

After spending 2 days in Hong Kong, I went back to the airport to catch an evening flight to Bangkok. Storm was about to hit Hong Kong in just under 6 hours hence there was a slight delay in our flight's departure. Nevertheless, aside from mild turbulent take off from Hong Kong, everything else was smooth during the flight.

Took the train from the city back to Hong Kong Airport. It was HKD115 (USD1 = HKD7.82 as of this writing) per adult per way and took some 25 minutes. Fast and efficient trains. Alighted straight at Terminal 2 where my RJ183 flight to Bangkok will originate.

Here are some photos of my arrival into Hong Kong International Airport.

Some photos of the inside of the terminal, land side.

While I was roaming around the airport, I overheard a German guy saying that a typhoon was on its way to Hong Kong. I was a bit worried. :(

Good thing is, there was an Agnes b Cafe inside the airport. :)

Some more photos I took while waiting for check in to open.

Finally, checked in however was told Gate Number is TBA as typhoon Hato was on the way. Again worried me. :(

Did some more exercise (walking) inside the terminal after immigration.

Charging stations inside the terminal were abundant. Wifi was free and pretty fast too.

Some more photos of the gate area.

Inside the gate. there were charging stations, a large clock, waste bins, toilets and a nearby Starbucks.

Asus tabs and laptops for complimentary use in many areas of the airport. Good idea. :)

Some more views inside the cabin while at cruising altitude. There was a turbulence that Captain asked crews to be seated but did not last more than 5 minutes.

The Business Class seats.

Arriving into Bangkok just after midnight due to late departure from Hong Kong. I loved the industrial look of the airport.

Took the taxi from the airport to the city. Costs THB500 (USD1 = THB33 as of this wrting)
