This is my second report about Spring Japan,Narita base LCC. This is my best LCC in Japan,because They are operating all B737 fleets(Other Japanese LCC operate A320s,I don't like A320 very much)
Worst Carry on Baggage Policy in Japan
I arrived at Chitose airport at 8:30 am.There were a lot of people in this airport. After finish my routine in this home airport(Breakfast and plain spotting from food court),I headed to check-in counter.
Spring Japan check-in counter is located in 1th floor,far end of the terminal. Check-in queue was short because it was just before 5 minutes of counter close time. There were two auto check-in machines,but Both of them were not working.So I have to check-in on counter.
They have a strict carry on baggage policy,5KG per person.Every passenger has to check their baggage weight to stick their baggage policy. It was very annoying for me because it take a lot of times for check-in,and counter agent was not friendly.
Boarding was started on time,from window seats. This ship was delivered at January 2017,less than one years old.So Condition was better,clean and well maintained. Seats look old-fashione. As seats are well padded ,I prefer this seats to other airline's slim seats. During a boarding,Multi language announcement was made(Japanese,Chinese,English). On this announcement,They said not to move your own assigned seats many times.
It was bad weather on the enroute.So Seat belt sign had been turn-on for 20 minutes.
After seat-belt turn off, meal was selled. Some snacks and drink cost around $2~$3.But Their choice didn't attract me.
Cabin crew's announcement was only Japanese and Chinese.So It's inconvenience for foreign traveler except Chinese Speaker. On the other hand It's convenience for Chinese traveler,because Some cabin crews speak Chinese fluently,The number of Chinese traveler are increasing year after year. Flight was uneventful.But It was bumpy entire flight because of weather. I could not see ground at all until just a landing.
Finally,Aircraft spotted on remote stand.It mean I have to change bus to the terminal. I was dropped off in front of baggage claim area.It was little convenience because I could avoid walking a long distance.

Conclusion
Ground experience was annoying because every passenger have to make a queue to check weight of baggage.And They don't have webcheck in. But Aircraft was relatively new and clean.Cabin crew was friendly and can speak Chinese(But I could not understand Chinese).
Spring Japan is great option if you don't have much baggage.
