With all the negative reviews going around, that Jetstar Aisa was miles behind when compared to AirAsia, I decided to experience the so called "negativity" first hand.
Bags packed, we left our Hotel at Jalan Wahid Hasyim earlier than planned, mainly due to the last encounter I had with an LCC (Yes it was AirAsia).
Got an Uber to Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (CGK/WIII) which was an hours dive if i recall, thus reaching there around 3 1/2 hours before departure since I didn't want to cut things too fine, so the earlier we reached the better.
We were't able to check in online mainly due to our International Connection which took us to the Check-in counters which were incredibly long and I thanked myself for having got to CGK early. The staff positioned at the countered ensured that the cues moved quickly.
As a FR my request for a window seat was an obvious one and I was willing to pay for it, however I was assigned an Isle seat due to a window seat being "Unavailable" Normal circumstances would've seen an exchance of words with the check-in staff, however I wasn't in the mood this time, and simply took my boarding Pass and left, not forgetting to inform the Check in counter guy that this was a part of my flight review.

With immigration being by far the easiest I've encountered, we were at the gate even before the inbound flight from Singapore came in. The Aircraft assigned today on this route was 9V-JSB, one of the oldest Airbus A320-200's in 3K's fleet. The choice of aircraft by 3K wasn't surprising since most of the LCC's I've been on utilize either the Airbus A320-200 or the Boeing 737-800 being the popular and the most economical Narrow Bodied aircraft for LCC's to operate.

Onboard
On boarding JSB, I noticed that a few seats to my left were left unoccupied, and informed the steward that I needed that Window seat at row 28A at whatever cost, he further queried the need for the seat and was informed that this was going to be a FR for Sri Lanka's largest aviation portal "Airlines747" and thereby I was told to change to any of the window seats available, with another 3 being available in the forward cabin. I chose 28A since it was the best option available with 28B and C being vacant too. So managed to get my friend Imran to 28B as well.

The safety demo was carried out manually and we were off to Changi without further ado

Takeoff from CGK

Cabin/Seat
The cabin was indeed a shocker and by far the best LCC cabin, with a 3-3 seat layout and ample leg room!
Even though JSB was an old aircraft, it was in immaculate condition. 3K being an LCC did't offer any USB Charging ports, blankets pillows or anything of that sort. However they did offer the usual buy-on-board menu, in-flight duty free catalog and the Jeststar Asia magazine, more than sufficient for a short hop to Singapore.

The Crew were friendly and very professional on this sector which was yet another plus point for Jetstar Asia and probably another reason why i'd fly with them again.
A food and beverage run was carried out soon after takeoff with a choice of Sandwiches being available along with other snacks, followed by announcement to passengers interested in making in-flight duty free purchases. This was where I got into the picture, purchasing a stunningly good looking 1:200 Scale Jetstar Aisa Airbus A320-200 model. Payment options ranged from paying cash (SGD/USD) or by Card (most airlines do not offer this option).
With Singapore Day being on the 9th of August, my purchased was entitled to a discount, therefore receiving a SGD 10 rebate on my Purchase!
