Arrived safely from Cebu (Philippines) and had spent overnight in Singapore. The flight from Cebu was smooth and uneventful.
Having arrived almost at midnight, I took the last trip of the train in going to Bugis area, where my hostel was located. It took about 30 minutes. From Bugis MRT Station, it was but a short walk to the hostel.
Here are a couple of shots of the empty trains, a very rare sight in Singapore. Trains were very clean and convenient.
The following day, which was the 19th of March 2017, I woke up late considering that my flight was not going to leave until about 9PM that night. I went to Orchard Road for some last minute shopping.
Before going to the airport, I had a quick dinner - soy marinated pork with some garlic rice and veggies, quite tasty I would say.
Check - in was a breeze. Fast and professional service by the check - in agent. That night's flight was served by an A330-300 in a 2-4-2 configuration.
Having been through Changi Airport several times, it seems like I had known all the shops here by heart. :D
Here I was, admiring this beautiful centerpiece..
Looking through for my flight, which was thank God on time, as always by SQ.
Realizing having gain weight from holidays, I decided to take a walk for a bit inside the terminal before proceeding to my gate.
Finally boarded. It was on time, in an orderly fashion. I wish I could be one of the PPS Club members to board first in the near future. :D
An hour into the flight, dinner was served. I took the braised beef with fried potato and broccoli. It was tasty, the beef was tender, potatoes were cooked well, bread was warm, salad was so-so. Had ice cream for dessert but did not have a photo of it. My sincere apologies.
After dinner, could not sleep and settled for this movie.
And the following day, it was welcome back to the Maldives for me. :D
Thanks guys for bearing with me…
Hi manuel. Thanks for this report. That centerpiece! I love it when airports pay attention to such details. The food before and during the flight looks great. Food un my counteu is rather bland compared to eastern countries. What movie was that?
Nice reading you!! :)
Thanks, Nechus. The movie is called "Jackie", a 2016 film starring Natalie Portman. :)
Thanks for the info, manuel!
BTW, "Food un my counteu" = Food in my country. I hate typing on my phone!!! XD
No worries, understood. :) have a great weekend! :)
