Hello,
This is my flight report from Osaka (ITM) to Tokyo (HND) with ANA All Nippon Airways, a Star Alliance Member, in Economy Class.
The flight duration was 44 minutes and arrived 2 minutes after scheduled.
ANA was founded on 1952, 1 year and half after JAL, is the largest Japanese airline, with 221 aircrafts and 97 destinations. ANA was elected by Skytrax since 2013 as a 5 star airline and last year (2017) was in the 3rd position for best airline but won for the best airport service and Asia's best airline staff
Check also the video from this report:
The Osaka or Itami (ITM) International Airport is the main domestic airport for Osaka and Kansai region, located 15km North from Osaka, with more than 30 destinations across Japan, operated mainly by JAL and ANA.
I took the first, of the 15 flights, operated everyday by ANA on this route, which carried 5.27 million passengers in 2014.
I arrived in the airport 5 minutes before 6am and the check-in counter were still closed. I tried both to checked-in online and the the kiosk but as I bought staff ticket I wasn’t allowed to that. At 7am the check-in counters opened, but before it the cargo hold bags were x-rayed.
After check-in in the ground floor, I climb up the escalators to the x-ray screening, which took around 10 minutes, and after that I went to my boarding gate, where I waited around 30 minutes until boarding.
They started the boarding with the passengers who need special assistance, families with small kids, Star Alliance Gold and then Economy Class.
The aircraft for the todays flight was the JA751A, a Boeing 777-381, MSN 28272 and LN 142 is 19,5y old, flying for ANA since 1998 and is powered by 2 PW4000 engines.
This Regional Boeing 777-300 was the capacity for 514 seats, because is configured for regional routes. In the beginning of the first cabin it fits a regional Business Class in 2-3-2 and 3 rows. The rest of the 1st, and all the 2nd till 4th are Economy Class in 3-4-3 with 54 rows!
Unfortunately my seat was located where the ventilation ducts are installed so it means no window.
Just 5 minutes after I boarded the plane, they closed the doors and the aircraft started to push-back and taxiing through the runway 32L.
5 minutes after taking-off the aircraft reach 10.000 feets and after 10 minutes the crew served me a coffee with milk but there were also other meal options to buy.
The aircraft also had an on-board wi-fi system and was also possible to see the route map, live TV, videos and music.
The aircraft started the descent at 07h48 and did the approach via the South of Tokyo to runway 34L, where landed at 08h12, 2 min after scheduled and with a flight time of 44 minutes. Tokyo Haneda (HND) is the main domestic airport in Japan and also have some international flights to the most important destinations, located 14 miles south of Tokyo’s city center and serves domestic ANA flights on terminal 2, domestic JAL flights on terminal 1 and all the international flights are operated from the International Terminal.
The aircraft parked at gate 67, terminal D2, and I disembarked the aircraft and proceeded to the baggage delivery but the process was very fast.
Thank you for reading this report!
Thanks for sharing this FR, only slightly faster than the Shinkansen ride, but maybe cheaper...
When did NH get the newer domestic BPs, I've never seen that cardstock before.
