Introduction
After a few days exploring some of the wonders and the underground of Singapore, I knew my visit would have to come to an end. I wished I allotted more days for more exploration in Singapore, but my adventure would continue through the flight back. I was planning to get some rest before my flight, but due to some late night activities I decided to do, I feared that I wouldn't have enough time to get over to Changi and enjoy what the airport had to offer. It was 12am by the time I got back to my hotel, so I decided to stay up to readjust myself to Pacific Time and check out around 5am. After a very enjoyable Uber ride to Changi Airport, I made my way to check into my flight. Checked in and got my paper ticket at the business class line. Got through the first checkpoint and got called on for further inspection due to my Pelican case full of camera gear. Soon after that debacle, I ended up making my way to the SilverKris Lounge after walking past the KrisFlyer Gold Lounge (SQ's *A Gold Lounge at SIN).
A Recap of My Itinerary
SQ51: IAH-MAN-SIN in PE on a A359 - Here!
SQ12: SIN-NRT-LAX in J on a B77W - This Report!

Singapore-Changi SilverKris Lounge - Terminal 2
The lounge is pretty massive in both space and food. I took a snapchat of me walking around all the food. The spread was pretty massive from western favorites to the traditional Singaporean and Asian flair. Alcohol is always flowing in the lounge so I had to indulge myself with a vodka-soda (Absolut for those wondering).

Then I sat back and watched YouTube on my laptop and caught up on all the latest Premier League news as they had Singapore's dedicated Premier League channel on one of the TV's here.

One of the most interesting things I saw was a steam closet to give your clothes that wrinkle free look. It was the first time I saw something like this, especially in an airport lounge. Possibly to give those tired businessmen a quick look refresh before their flight/next meeting after the flight.

It was very quiet over there but as the morning progressed it got louder and louder but never much more than a hum. I give the huge amount of space the lounge has the credit for that.

About 45 mins before my flight left, I headed out from the lounge to my gate where I cleared security and boarded my plane back to America

Singapore Airlines 12 - November 22, 2017
Singapore-Changi (SIN) to Los Angeles (LAX) via Tokyo-Narita (NRT)
Departing: 9:20am (Actual: 9:20am)
Arriving: 11:50am (Actual: 11:38am)
Duration: 18hrs 30mins (Actual: 18hrs 38mins)
Equipment: Boeing 777-300ER
Tail#: 9V-SWM
Seat: 17K (New Business)
I got to the gate, went through security and boarded the plane as I was getting a copy of the LA Times since they had a very interesting cover story on Charles Manson. Laid out were a pair of slippers, socks and eyeshades in lieu of the amenity kit other airlines tend to give their business class passengers, and there were more amenities inside the lavatory as I would later discover. With a "Hello Mr. Place55" from a Singapore Girl, a glass of champagne in my hand, an article in another and a face wiped clean with a hot towel, we taxied out and made our way towards Tokyo.

The seat was pretty big and amazing as per SQ's taste. I loved the design of it since you were able to put one leg up and flat on the side of it where part of the bottom half of the bed would be. I'm a short guy and I totally enjoyed being able to lay one of my legs flat while I was lounging about, being able to make a figure four with my legs in a plane without having to change it into the bed is great cause I usually like to lounge with my legs like that.

Also lots of storage for me to place the majority of my stuff without needing to put it back into my bags, yet I didn't think to use the under the ottoman storage for my travel backpack as I was bouncing back and forth about finding stuff as I typically am.
20 mins after takeoff, drinks were handed off and a course of satay would be served. That peanut sauce is absolutely to die for.

The appetizer was pretty alright since the crab was pretty good and the other flavors including the Singapore sauce matched well with it

Now, this is going to be a bit of a hot take, but I'm not a fan of the lobster thermidor they served me with the Book the Cook option. The sauce didn't really mesh all that well to me as it was creamier than I originally thought to be. I really didn't expect it to taste like that, but I thought it would be a zestier flavor with it. Also. I asked the flight attendant to pair one of the white wines with it which may or may not help the flavor a tad bit.

The mint dessert was so good but very frozen, and it was complete with a great cheese plate

Afterwards, we landed in Narita and made our way through security and airside, and as I was walking out, there were ANA employees directing us to wherever we may need/want to go which included the ANA Lounge. Long story short, the fresh, handmade sushi was great, sake is 100% an acquired taste and I was not short changed this time by the beer machines! Last time, I was at Narita and the beer machine severely short changed me as I got half a glass of beer/half empty glass of beer. I didn't take a photo of it, but I guess it was in my Snapchat.
After that excursion, I made my way to reboard the plane and I saw a lot of people lined up across the gate and spilling into the walking area. It was basically the same procedure as back in Singapore like it was an entirely new flight. Just like what I experienced in Manchester
The IFE on the seat had a bigger screen yet it wasn't a touchscreen as it was totally dependent on the remote for navigation. Watched several movies like Baby Driver which I really enjoyed.

Menu as follows here since I used Book the Cook last time around

This leg, I had the hanakoreki meal alongside several Singapore Slings which are very, very good but not before some more satay. The Japanese meal was really good as well with the presentation being spectacular on top of it. The Green Tea cake was absolutely spectacular and after a few Singapore Slings, it was time to sleep.

I happened to try to set up my bed when a Singapore Girl, presumably about to go off duty with purse over the shoulder, was walking through and asked if she could set up my bed which I accepted. It's nice to see that the Singapore Girls are there to help and it's those little touches that make an airline that much better.

I happened to get about 3-4 hours of sleep on the bed which I enjoyed the space I had on the bed immensely since I like to spread out whenever I sleep and I like to sleep in a diagonal position.
The lunch service started with a nice antipasto of prosciutto with some greens, cheese and not that great grill marked yellow pepper and mushroom piece. It was just fine

The Beef of Fillet was really good for beef on a plane since I heard the horror stories of beef on a plane though I wished it was rarer. It concluded with some tea which I actually asked that it come out on the main course. I had to remind the flight attendant about it, so that's a very minor knock on the service.

Then the desert, a practically similar cake to the green tea one heading to Tokyo but strawberry with some jam

As we were descending, piano music was playing and I heard a familiar song, Faded by Alan Walker playing in the background which I admit was the theme for this spur of the decision trip on Singapore Airlines. Once landed, we taxied and deplaned. I got past Customs in an instant with Global Entry but had an error with my photo for the Global Entry identification and on I went to spend Thanksgiving with the family.
SQ business looks divine here, thank you for the lovely trip report!
