Hi,
During transit I enjoyed some nice apron views at the very nice Kastrup airport before spending the remaining waiting time at the nice SAS Lounge.
Passport control to the C gates was without any wait and I spotted a nice Air India Dreamliner on the final way to my gate.
Emund Viking was waiting to bring me to Newark today.
Priority boarding started soon and I was welcomed by an elderly but very friendly cabin crew.
Business Class was almost full today but that was no problem as I made myself very comfortable in my suite 6A.
The SAS Business Class seat is one of the best products around in my opinion - it offers very good comfort, a lot of storage areas and a lot of privacy.
Also you have direct aisle access from every seat which is perfect.

Blanket, pillow, seat matress, noise cancelling headphones, water bottle and amenity kit were already pre placed at the seat.
While some boarding music played I enjoyed a welcome drink of champagne.
Menus were also distributed that promised a great culinary journey as well.

We departed perfectly on time and made our way through the clouds to reach cruising altitude and fly to Newark withinh 8hours15mins.
Soon after departure service started with hot towels.
Then table clothes were distributed and the aperitif service started with a signature cocktail and warm nuts.
I had a perfectly tasting 'Ginger Forest': Whisky, apple, ginger ale & lime.
Then the table was set for lunch:
A trolley passed by and I opted for the reindeer salami as starter.
This was accompanied by a fresh salad made up by the flight attendant freshly on the trolley and some great warm bread.
Drinks followed and I had some nice white wine.
You could then select your main dish from the trolley - actually it is very nice to see the different choices on offer in real before you select.
I decided for the catfish fillet. Fresh pepper from a mill was also added when served.
Dessert car displayed several options and I ended my perfect lunch with some cheese and raspberry yogurt ice cream.
To round it off I had some dessert wine and oolong caramel tea.
In conclusion every bite of the lunch tasted wonderful.
I continued relaxing and strolled around the cabin a little bit.
The Business Class toilets at SAS are very spacy and evern offer wood decoration & a window!
Also available is a very nice self service buffet including an espresso machine.
This provided me some very nice cappucino.
Flight passed by relaxing with some movies before hot towels announced the start of the pre landing service.
The afternoon meal consisted of some nice cold cuts, fruits and warm bread.
Afterwards a hot quiche was also offered in addition.
During descend I enjoyed perfect views of Manhattan Skyline and Statue of liberty.
We touched down ahead of schedule at Newark and parked at Terminal B where sister ship from Oslo was already waiting.
Thanks for reading,
FlyAlex
Thanks for this FR.
Great flight indeed, the meals are quite generous and original.
The cabin is very classy and warmer than LXs event though the colours used are the same.
Yes I also think this Seat is one of the best products currently offered by European carriers
