It was time for my annual leave once again. :) And once again, I went to my hometown in The Philippines. For me, going home is something I always look forward to.
I took CX again this time from Male, Maldives to Cebu, Philippines with a short stopover in Hong Kong.
Arrived in Male city at around 8AM and my flight was not until 11PM hence took some time to stroll around the small city a bit with a friend.
This is some park where the locals go with a beautiful mosque nearby.
Was in the mood for rice and ordered this Peppered Grilled Chicken at Secret Recipe. It was good.
Went to a grocery and picked up something for my friend. Although The Maldives is a small nation, we pretty much have everything we needed here… Prices are in Maldivian Rufiyaa (US$1 = MRF15).
At about 8PM, I headed to the airport and took these. There is not much to see, just wanted to show to you how the outside of the airport looks like.
After the first security check, I took these snaps too. The check - in hall at Velana International Airport is not that big.
Was very hungry at about 9PM and went to order something at Burger King. With my BP too…
With the renovations inside the airport, many flights are sharing gates and this is how the gate looks like.
Finally, boarding time. Took photos of the lavatory… Clean & well kept.
In flight mags, seat pitch, IFE monitor… Monitor was touch screen and very responsive, easy to use. There were loads of movies and music and games too. Headset was not of the best quality however it served the purpose for the flight. :)

Took the chicken option and as usual for CX, it was delicious.
Patiently waiting to land into HKG.
Just before landing… Weather was cool and breezy on that day.
Landed and marathoned :) towards immigration (which was fast as always for HKG) and then to the train to the city.
That's all guys. Sorry if this was reviewed before with some similar contents. Just wanted to refresh your minds about this route that I took this month.

Conclusion
CX is beginning to grow in me. :) I would like to see myself flying with them over and over again in the future, hopefully...

Given the duration of the flight a breakfast could be served, but I agree that the dinner looks nice.
I have the same feeling at work, and I work a 20-minute bike ride from home!!
