Introduction

This report is from a Mumbai to Singapore flight in July 2007.

Note

Apologies for the photo quality as the camera settings were messed, monsoon weather and scratched windows .

Check-In, Immigration and security

Entry was permitted after checking the ticket and passport. Check-in queues was not long as I had arrived earlier. Immigration in the afternoon was quiet and queues were short. After immigration, there used to customs to declare any duty items which was carried overseas. After customs check, headed for security. Once security check was done. Boarding pass and bag tag was stamped Took escalator to the floor below into the waiting area.

Boarding was called after passengers disembarked and the aircraft was cleaned. Passport, boarding pass and handbag tag was checked for security stamp.

Approaching Singapore Changi Airport

As it was dark on arrival and my camera being useless under those conditions. Enjoyed the outside view as the flight approached over Changi beach to land .

Arrival

Flight was to arrive at Gate F54 in Terminal 2. Arrived in Singapore on time. Headed for immigration, got my visa on arrival stamp, collected bags and exited the terminal in 15 mins.

Took a taxi to city.

Conclusion

Singapore Airlines service was excellent, as usual looked after their customers well. Mumbai Airport was undergoing cosmetic renovation as the terminal was going to be demolished. Singapore Airport was efficient, immigration, baggage was quick. Taxi was available outside the terminal building. Had a pleasant flight flying SQ.
