After a very nice 7 hour flight from BKK to DOH onboard the fabulous A380, it was time for the final leg to get back home. We had a 3 hours break between the flights that was good to stretch our legs a little bit before being cramped for 6 hours inside an A320 with very limited legroom.
We say hello again to the fameous teddy
And decide to take a walk to the concourses D and E
With some nice spotting facilities on our way regarding this A380
We ended up in the food court with some nice views on the tarmac and Doha skyline in the distance
While walking around and visiting shops we were several times asked by QR ground crew members what time is our flight and what is our destination. It looks like they really care that people catch their flights as DOH is a quiet airport with no voice announcements.
Boarding started one hour before the flight and once again consisted of the pre-boarding (documents and boarding pass check) and waiting in the gate area in special seating zones.
I noticed with a relief that this time we will fly again a newer A320 (the age is indicated by the presence of sharklets)
This aircraft too is equipped with new business class seats with a lot of space that make the economy cabin look a little bit Ryanair style regarding the pitch
I chose again seats in row 10 having forgotten completely that as the emergency exit row is the next behind, my seat won't recline….
We slowly push back and the safety announcement is displayed on the IFE screens
During taxi I spot the A380 that brought us a couple of hours before from BKK
and some other aircrafts as this A320 in One World livery
Some take off shots
Menus are distributed as soon as the fasten seat belts sing is off
This time I choose the chicken option that is not bad but not very good too (a little bit too dry) or maybe I'm just fed up with airline food I had during the last two weeks…? ;)
The couscous salad was ok, but the cake was no doubt the best part of this meal
The sun slowly dissapears as we fly towards the cold and dark in this part of the year Europe
The sunset over Turkey (where strong turbulence occur forcing FAs to take their seats) is really beautiful
The cabin was dimmed from now on as pax were mostly sleeping or watching movies
There was an after dinner service with tea/coffee/cognac…
many small turns with water and juices and the final part called in the menu "The movie snack" that consisted of crisps and chocolate bar served while we were already over Romania
There wasn't much to see during descent except for the engine
The bag belt was specially marked - a small but very nice touch
So sad to see so great holidays come to an end… but when one trip ends, the planning of another one begins :) Hope to come back soon with some new series. I got this small version of the A380 to make the come back to cold reality a little bit softer :)
Many thanks for reading!

Conclusion
The QR A320 with new business class seats means limited legroom for the economy passengers (a thing I reported also in the first part of these series) that during an almost 6 hours flight like this one is quite tiring. That was the only inconvenience during this flight as all the rest (crew, meals, IFE) was ok.
10 LIKESLIKE TO THANK THE AUTHORTHANKS ! FLIGHT-REPORT LIKED
Salut Benoit! Yes, the IFE screen wasn't too good but as the pitch was small, the screen was so close to my face that it was ok ;) Merci et bonne semaine!
Hi Nechus, thanks a lot for your comment! Despite the limited legroom the cabin looked really good and that is what other airlines could learn from QR. LATAM - land made ma laugh :))))) Have a nice week!
Thanks for this FR and this serie. Clearly the Y seat isn't up to QR comfort standards except for the IFE, but honestly I'm surprised QR hasn't more A320 like this for flights to Europe as their wide body planes aren't always full. Good that the catering was satistying at least.
Hi, thanks for your comment! I see now QR sends more and more narrow bodies to many European destinations, it's for sure good for the company and if you don't focus on the pitch, it's ok for the pax too.
Thanks for sharing this report with us! Awesome one - QR does know how to make even a narrow body be world class - but like you said it is at the cost of seat pitch. The interior sure did look like the ones you'd fine on their B787s...

A nice flight with QR and a good catering!
Unfortunately IFE was quite old which can be annoying in a longer flight.
Dziękuję!!
Thanks for another great report!
Ouch! That must demand to be in good physical shape and lots of mind control! I would die.
Great idea! What's the point of those airport PA systems when nobody understands a word they say!
Ouch again! But that cabin looks really handsome, anyway!
My favorite part!
Beautiful!!
Poor thing. Just focus on your next holidays!
Thnaks for sharing... and for reminding me of my disgraceful life in LATAM-land. :'''(

Nice spotting shots at DOH.
Good to see your flight was operated by a newer 320.
Absolutely wonderful aerial shots, especially those taken at sunset and dusk.
Nice 380 model you got there!
Have a good one, see you.
