My first flight review report.
Please don't mind the amateurish report.
Krisflyer was having a 'Spontaneous Escapes' promotion and I took advantage of the opportunity to visit Manila in business class using less Krisflyer miles than it would have usually required. A good 30% discount,
The trip started on a lazy Sunday morning and all that changed when I arrived at the Changi Airport Terminal 2.

There was a rush of adrenaline as I approached the Business class counter. I was served after just a few minutes.

A quick but rather indifferent check-in process by the agent.
The ever changing set of things to see at the airport and have photo taking opportunities. The latest one…

The Immigration process was a breeze and next stop should be the Lounge.

But a quick pit stop at the smoking area.

Now back to matters at hand, a visit to the Lounge.

Not a very busy lounge. Ample seating space. The décor, the design and the layout creates a rather peaceful atmosphere.

Food choices were rather limited though. Regardless, I had to partake some of the dishes on offer.

Then it was to the departure gate - F42. It turned out to be a 10 minutes walk. Not that I am complaining. A good opportunity to burn some calories.
The bird that will bring me to Manila today is 9V-SQL (777-212ER), 15 years of age. And I think it has the retrofitted seats. Interestingly, it was same bird that flew the same sector the day before.

A rare entrance for me to the forward part of the cabin

Not a full cabin today.
Comfortable seat. A decent noise cancelling headset. Good leg room. Old entertainment System with the old school handset.

Welcome drinks were offered. Champagne and Orange Juice. It was a rather straightforward choice for me

Meal service commenced rather quickly. A tray was provided.

photo starter

A closer look at the starter. Wonderful way to start the meal. I had also some G&T

I had chosen the Main from the Book the Cook service provided by Singapore Airlines, Roast Lamp Chops. It was just wonderful.

To conclude the meal i was offered dessert (Tiramisu) with some Port. Nice dessert (though it was a small portion)

The meal service concluded in about 45 minutes. The rest of the flight was rather smooth. I caught a movie.
I will sign off with some pictures during the descent which includes windmills.

  • Welcome to the community. A very good report in fact, no where near as bad as you made it sound. Just the right amount of words coupled with sufficient pictures.

Too many new reporters fall for the trap of describing and sharing too much on the build up towards their trip such that the report becomes too wordy and interest is lost before even the main event. A LCC report doesn’t need 1000 words, however 1000 pictures speaks a different language though.

  • Hi NewFlyer28, thanks for sharing this very nice first report! Nothing amateurish about it at all! You've definitely got the Flight-Reported instinct :-)

It's got good detail and photos of all important aspects of the flight--looks great to me! The only thing I would say is, it's always good to have a few words in the conclusion section to explain your grading briefly.

Looks like you had a good flight with SQ. Welcome to Flight-Report and looking forward to more reports in the future!
