This is one part of my honeymoon trips from Surabaya to Taipei. I chose Cathay Pacific instead of direct flight with China Airlines due to price issue. All legs on this flight are supposed to be in Y class, however, on this particular flight, I got a good news that CX moved me to an earlier flight and upgraded me and my wife to C class with no extra charge. What a surprise from them, just like cherry on top to our honeymoon.
Actually, this is also my first time trying CX's C class on their short-haul regional route. I've heard that it's basically just a premium economy seat, but I was still rather excited to give it a try.
Check-in process was quite slow even though it's still a morning flight. After about 15 minutes waiting in line, we finally got our very first upgraded business class boarding pass in hand.

Clearing immigration was quite painful and slow. And we had to rush to boarding gate since it's only half an hour before boarding time commenced.
Boarding
Our boarding gate, B6:

Boarding commenced in just couple of minutes after we arrived on the gate.
Queuing in business class line:

The friendly head FA greets us and shows the way to our seats.
Settling down nicely on our seats for the next one hour and 15 minutes.

Hot towel and welcome drink were then distributed to every passenger. This time, I opted for apple juice and OJ for my wife. There was no champagne on offer.

Cheers for the good flight ahead!

Boarding was still ongoing. It looks like almost a full flight in C, around 90%.

During this time, I took some pictures of the seat amenities.
Wide legroom. Pity that monitor quality was quite poor. A USB port and coat hanger are on both sides of the monitor.

Seat control and magazine are at the side of the armrest.

A pillow and headphones are also provided in each seat.

Senior purser in champagne blouse and long skirt walked around the cabin and distributed a printed menu book on this short flight.
Here's what they offered on this sector:

In-Flight
Shortly after reaching cruising altitude, the crew sprung out and rushed to provide breakfast service to this very short flight sector.
I chose the cheese omelette and my wife picked up the Taiwanese noodle. All meals are put together in one tray since this is only merely 1++ hour flight.

Both options came along with fresh fruits, butter and bread. However, no honey was offered as written on the menu.
We both enjoyed the meal very much. Despite the lack of presentation, they still taste very good.
I saw no champagne in the menu, maybe because it's still breakfast time. But apparently, it's also available on request. I tried my luck and ask one of the FA to bring me a glass of champagne and she delightfully brought me one glass of it few minutes later.
Here's my choice for drinks: champagne (didn't ask what champagne it was) and a cup of Hong Kong style milk tea.

While my wife chose Earl Grey tea and an apple juice:

Closer look on the champagne:

It's such a short flight to enjoy what CX has to offer on their business class, I'm sure it's pretty extensive if it is on a longer flight and different aircraft.
We did enjoy it, especially my wife who has never been on a business class flight before. Really appreciate what Cathay Pacific has done to end our vacation.
Thanks for this FR.
It is indeed a good service for such a short flight, much better than what you'd get in Europe or Asia.
Thanks KL651 for stopping by.
Thanks for sharing! CX manage good service on a short flight. I though they were flying international J cabin on TPE-HKG, but the regional J cabin is perfect for such a short flight. An upgrade is always a welcome surprise! Congratulations on your wedding and I hope you enjoyed your honeymoon.
Thank you for stopping by and for the wishes to our wedding :)
