Hi,
I only spent ca. 15 minutes at the SAS Business Lounge as I arrived quite late at the airport.
The lounge was nice in a modern design and not very busy that evening. I just had a very nice tasting curry cream soup.
On the way to my boarding gate I already spotted my Air Dolomiti Embraer that would operate the flight to Munich on behalf of Lufthansa this evening.
Boarding started on time with priority boarding first in an orderly manner.
The Italian cabin crew welcomed me very friendly and provided excellent and extremely friendly service throughout the whole trip.
The cabin looked very nice, was modern and provided totally fine legroom.
In Business Class the seat next to you always is kept free and there also was acurtain divider to Economy Class behind row 4.
There was only one other Business Class passenger this evening - however Economy seemed to be very full.
Once boarding was completed I was offered a welcome drink of bottled water and a amenity kit! The amenity kit was a great surprise on a 1 hour 20 minutes short haul flight within Europe. It came in a nice design and actually provided more content than e.g. KLM Business Class kits on longhaul flights.
5 minutes later nice cold refreshing towels were distributed from a very nice looking silver bowl looking like Italian design.
Before take off I took a shot of a nice and rarely seen Atlantic Airways Airbus.
We took of perfectly on time and started our trip while enjoying some nice scenic views of the Baltic sea coasts.
Another surprising fact was the availability of inflight entertainment streaming on your mobile device via WLAN.
The service was promoted on the head rest covers and was very easy to connect to.
It provided some nice content including newspapers, music, short videos and an airshow map.

About 15 minutes into the flight a very nice cold meal was served along with some warm bread & crackers from a basket.
The design of the tray and the dishes looked very extraordinary and nice - Italian design :)
It was also a nice feature that the napkin was some nice real cloth with Air Dolomiti logos - rather rarely to find those days on intra European Business Class as many carriers switch to cheap paper napkins.
The very friendly crew asked me for my drink choices and I had some red wine and water. The Italian wine was proudly suggested by the cabin crew and I tasted very good.
Later on I was offered more drinks where I had some tea and wine refill.
The cabin crew returened many times and proactively offered more drinks.
I was convinced to try their Italian sparkling wine which really tasted great.
It ws served with some nice Italian snack crackers.
Descend started soon and during approach a final gesture of Italian hospitality was provided with very tasty bonbons served again from the nice silver bowls.
On the way to our gate I took some shots of a very nicely looking Lufthansa A380 waiting during sunset.
Thanks for reading,
FlyAlex
Thanks for this FR.
Wow, providing an amenity kit on 1 hour flight, never seen that before.
EN has got to be the best airline for European flights.
Nice typically Italian meal and service.
Thanks a lot for this report ! What a fantastic flight : great meal, amenity kit, IFE, considerate crew, ... !
This experience is really a best practise for a business flight in Europe :)
Thanks a lot for your nice comments. Indeed Air Dolomiti was a very nice way to travel.
That indeed is quite surprising for a short haul business class flight in Europe :)
