Hello y'all
Welcome to another trip-report on Air China's relatively new Dreamliner!
Air China uses the 787-9 on routes like Los Angeles, Montreal, Rome, Auckland, and many other Chinese destinations.
Overall, I think the 787 is a much better option than Air China 's 777-300ER.
This is my second flight from my connecting flight from Harbin to Singapore via PEK.
Flight one:

Disembarked. PS: They look way too excited after a redeye flight.

Air China offers many connecting options here at PEK. Connecting from domestic to international is always an ease at PEK.

Security+Immigration took about 30 minutes.

See you Beijing!

"Breakfast" served at 1:32AM

Chose the western option because the Chinese one looked unappetizing.
fruit
croissant
scrambled eggs
mysterious meat sausage
hash brown or mash potatoes can't really tell
one cold roma tomato
Chinese yogurt
TBH the only edible things are the pineapples, tomato, and the yogurt
NOT A PLEASANT MEAL

I got hungry in the middle of the flight, and I askes the FA if there is anything eat
She offered me the hard as brick croissant from breakfast
I declined
Wish Air China serves a second meal or some snacks on this 6 hours flight.

THE END
That meal, it looked so terrible. What were the Chinese option i wonder?
My seatmate had a Chinese meal with a bag of pickle and salted egg. As soon as he opened the lid I changed my mind...
Thanks for this FR.
Given the price difference you were still better off flying CA than SQ, thoug I agree the meal looks bad and is served at a bad time, before landing would be better.
I agree. I would certainly fly SQ in biz though.
