This was my lovely, small hostel just about 15 minutes from/to KLIA2. It looked like a prison but it was indeed lovely, trust me. :)
Arriving at the airport with ample time to spare, did a little stroll to check the airport out. Overall, the airport was good, passenger-friendly and easy to navigate.
There were huge FIDs but the airport was just very crowded…
So, I did try one of those unmanned counters. Easy to use.
This was after Immigration and towards the DFS area.
I was also able to check one of the toilets out - clean, tidy.
I continued walking and walking…
And I did manage to take photos of some of these views.
I continued strolling and navigating the airport. Here are some snaps.
I settled at McCafe…
Some other photos I took as I really had a lot of time to myself.
Our A330 that time.
Last few photos before boarding.
My Lav Tradition - clean, smelt good and tidy.
Oh well, LCC… Full flight.
I pre - ordered some meals which tasted good.
Arriving into hot, humid Maldives.

Conclusion
Overall, a good flight but once again, I can only handle LCC between 1 - 2 hour flights. Beyond that, is an inconvenience....

Hi Manuel.Ariola, thanks for sharing this new report. I can't imagine sitting in a 3-3-3 configured A330 for 4 hours, or for any amount of time really. The seats look so tiny and cramped. My back hurts, just thinking about it, haha. One thing that always seems to be good about Air Asia is the good buy-on-board options.
I have recently flown with Air Asia X a couple months ago. I would say that the main disadvantage with Air Asia and Air Asia X is that they can’t transfer baggage to other airlines outside of the Air Asia group, such as in my case Etihad Airways. I had to clear immigration in KUL and recheck my baggage with Etihad Airways to my final destination.
