I am starting off this series of trip reports on my trip to Guatemala on an early morning flight from DCA to ORD on American Airlines in Main Cabin Extra. After clearing security, I headed straight to the Terminal C Admirals Club. Upon walking in, I noticed that the club was quite dated. Just after the entrance hall is a limited food buffet. There are common items such as yogurt, fruit, and breakfast breads. There was also a bar and business center.
I could only spend a few minutes there due to my flight boarding. I headed down from the cub and went to the gate. Before long, I was on-board the airbus A319 and headed to my seat, 9A.
It had a decent amount of legroom (34 inches of pitch) and was pretty comfortable. Soon after, the safety demonstration was performed and we were on our way.
After takeoff the drink service commenced. I was given some Biscoff and offered a drink. As usual, I had a Diet Sierra Mist. After the service, the crew disappeared until just prior to landing.
As we descended, we were treated to amazing views of downtown Chicago. We had a short taxi to the gate and I was off the plane in no time.

Conclusion
In conclusion, American Airlines isn't a bad option, however, the service was quite underwhelming. The crew weren't bad, they were just going through the motions and nothing else.
1 LIKESLIKE TO THANK THE AUTHORTHANKS ! FLIGHT-REPORT LIKED
Hey FlyerBoy2005, thanks for sharing another report!
Damn, I guess I haven't been paying attention. I didn't know AA was running PMUS A319s on DCA-ORD now. It used to always be PMAA 738s, and mostly ones with PTVs at that...at least IME
I headed straight to the Terminal 3 Admirals Club
Hmmm....I think you mean Terminal C...it is the 3rd letter of the alphabet, so I see where you were going with that ?
Upon walking in, I noticed that the club was quite dated.
I agree, the club in C is the pre-merger US Airways club, which was never really very fancy or modern to begin with. The pre-merger AA club in Terminal B is much nicer.
Thanks for pointing out that mistake! Having been in both Admirals Clubs in DCA, I totally agree that the one in Terminal B is better. Much more modern/light and airy, though it is a bit smaller.
