Hi everyone!
Welcome to my Flight Report. In this report, I want to share about my recent trip to Singapore with Jetstar Asia. I decided to choose Jetstar Asia because it was the cheapest price compared to other low cost airlines with the same route. I bought my ticket at Jetstar Travel Fair which was held on 1-3 March 2019 at Tunjungan Plaza 6.

As you can see from the brochure above, Jetstar Asia offered round-trip ticket Surabaya-Singapore at Rp 814.000 (±USD 55) and they even gave me Changi Airport Voucher worth SGD 20. Without further consideration, I immediately bought it because it was incredibly cheap.
A day before I left, Jetstar Asia messaged me that my flight was delayed and re-timed to 14:55. When I asked Jetstar Asia staff through online chat, they told me that my flight was delayed due to operational requirement. The next day, I decided to go to the airport at 10:30 and arrived at around 12:00 by using taxi.

I went inside the terminal building. Here are the photos of Juanda Airport Terminal 2 first floor.

After passed the shops, I proceeded to the check-in counter. Before you can enter the check-in area, you have to show your boarding pass or itinerary to the security officer and your baggage must be checked with the x-ray machine. After that, you can proceed to the check-in counter.

I went to the Jetstar check-in counter because flight 3K248 (SUB-SIN) can't use the mobile or web check-in service, so I have to go to the counter in order to collect my boarding pass. The staff told me that all baggage must be weighed, including the cabin luggage. I placed my luggage into the conveyor belt that have scale on it and the staff told me that the weight of my luggage exceeds the weight limit of cabin luggage, which is 7 kg. They said that I have to pay a penalty fee of Rp 400.000 (±USD 27), after that they can gave me my boarding pass.

I decided to go to Starbucks and weighed my baggage with my own digital scale. I found that the staff wasn't lying to me, so I decided to rearrange my baggage by putting my carry-on stuff inside my luggage.

Gate 1 is located behind Starbucks at Juanda Airport Terminal 2 first floor. The boarding gate which I used for my flight to Bali with Indonesia AirAsia last year (click : Review of Indonesia AirAsia flight Surabaya → Denpasar in Economy). It was very quiet, literally no one inside, only the airport staff.

After that, I went back to the check-in counter to checked-in my luggage, pay the penalty fee, and collect my boarding pass. The staff put cabin baggage sign on my bag, then I proceeded to the boarding gate at the second floor. According to the FIDS, my flight will be departed from Gate 8.

Here are some photos.

Before you can enter the immigration counter, you have to scan your boarding pass through the machine gate.

After clearing the immigration, you can see shops, but I was surprised because the shop was closed and only the duty-free shop open with few stuff. In my mind, I thought that the shops were closed because there weren't much passengers at Juanda Airport Terminal 2, even Starbucks closed its counter at International departure area.

Before the security check, there is a lounge named Concordia Premier Lounge.

Another FIDS check to ensure my boarding gate.
