Hello everyone , welcome to my very first trip report. Firstly if anyone wants to see the video version of this trip it will be attached below at the end of the trip report.
Anyways this is going to be of a flight i travelled on back in February 2019 on a cold winter morning onboard a Swiss Airbus A320 on a short hop from Amsterdam to Zurich.
The aircaft that would fly me to Zurich that morning. A 22 year old Airbus A320 in the special Star Alliance livery.
Settled into seat 14A. Have quiet a nice view for this short hop.Before departure because temperatures were close to freezing the aircraft was quickly deiced before pushback.
The legroom onboard a Swiss A320 economy seat is pretty decent. definitely not the best but not the worst.
And we have lift off. Apologize for not having any pictures of taxi at Schipol. Reason being the deicing liquid sort of got stuck to the windows so didnt have a good view. Anyways here you can see the sun slowly rising in the horizon.
After sometime we reached our cruising altitude of 25000 feet. The cabin crew then swiftly began the inflight service taking into account the short length of the flight.
For the inflight meal service considering it was a short flight a vanilla roll with a choice of drink was served. I opted to go with an orange juice.Coming back to the vanilla roll, it was delicious and in my opinion the perfect breakfast option for this short hop.
The seat pocket contents: The a320 safety card, the "Swiss Shop" inflight duty free catalogue and the "SWISS" inflight magazine. Considering there was no form of inflight entertaiment system onboard this A320 the magazine was a good read to pass time on this flight.
Before the flight came to and end the cabin crew distributed some scrumptious Swiss chocolate. I mean you can't have a Swiss flight without some Swiss chocolate can you ?
Well the time really past really quick on this flight and we have already started our decent into Zurich. It had snowed quite a bit the night earlier all of Zurich was blanketed with snow.
Making a final left turn for lining up with Runway 14.It was also a very cloudy approach into ZRH that morning.
All that could be seen from the window , entire city of Zurich covered in snow
And touchdown!!!! The pilots did a good job bringing this bird back to the ground , a very smooth landing.
A beautiful sunrise with an Austrian aircraft getting de-iced before its flight.
After a quick taxi we make it to our assigned gate and then we get to hear the iconic "barking dog " noise of the PTU on the a320.

The vanilla roll is amazing! I had it once on LUX to ZRH but havnt been as lucky sense! They seem to rotate a few items for breakfast.
Yup it was really delicious ? ya most probably they rotate stuff on there breakfast service
