This is flight SQ001 from SFO to SIN via HKG. However, I flew the entire segment down from SFO all the way to SIN. This flight was flown a month before United Airlines launched UA1, which was the first direct flight nonstop flight between SFO and SIN.
I have flown this route many times before on different airlines. With UA, SFO-NRT-SIN or SFO-HKG-SIN, or, more recently, SFO-SIN. With SQ I have only flown them on the SFO-HKG-SIN and not the direct nonstop flight. SQ1 is one of the best options for 1 stop as the stop in HKG is just an hour and gives a chance to walk around a bit. But, it can be distracting if you can fall asleep on a plane for hours to have to wake up. I will soon post a report on UA1. For some reason, both SQ and UA choose to use Flight 1 for their SFO-SIN flight. With SQ, numbers between 0 and 100 are used for its North American routes and SFO I believe was its first North American destination so using 1 may make sense. However, I am not sure of the story behind why UA chose 1 for its SIN route. However, I think SQ's flagship route would still be either SIN-LHR or SIN-SYD as those are the two routes that gets the most traffic and the best service with the launch destination for the latest products.
Shots of the plane at SFO. It was assigned G96 ( I seem to almost always depart out of G96 at SFO's G Concourse or arrive into G96).

SFO Airside and some other planes that I spotted.

Cabin shots of the economy class cabin.
Notice the dual IFE-related screens. Sadly SQ no longer has it on its latest economy class product.

Meal Service :
Supper (no dessert in supper services on SQ Y). There were three options on the menu, including an Indian meal menu option, but that was not offered. The choices were braised spareribs or seafood with rice. It was a delicious seafood dish with scallops inside it.

Sunrise over China
I can't seem to move the picture but see the final picture of this report for the SFO-HKG sector. This was a rather northerly route, especially during the summer.

Transit in HKG. The airport staff were pretty rude in directing transiting passengers on SQ 1 who were all given a sticker.

In flight. Mood lighting still in use :
A breakfast was offered, but I do not seem to have photographs of the dish.
