Hello everyone and welcome to another trip report. This time its on a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner on a flight from Doha to the largest city in Pakistan ' Karachi', Before i start a video version of this trip is up on my Youtube channel, if you are interested you can check it out. The link is available above. Anyways i had arrived from Amsterdam onboard a Qatar Airways Boeing 777-300er and had 3 hours of connecting time in Doha for my flight to Karachi. Hamad International Airport has to be one of the best airports out these days especially if you want to choose it as a connecting spot. Everything is extremely efficient and quick , from deboarding the previous aircraft, security and getting your next gate, everything is really easy and you dont have alot of walking also as the entire airport is just one huge terminal building and no separate terminals unlike DXB.

Some pictures i took of the stunning terminal building.

After i made to the gate that was a remote stand gate , a quick bus ride and im on my ride to Karachi. A 2016 built Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner with the registration of A7-BDB. Apologies for not getting any pictures on the ground, reason being its was extremely dark and the bus was extremely crowded to take any pictures. But anyways i made it to my seat , 24A, for the next 2 hours. The seat had a perfect view of those gorgeous flexed wings. Our pushback was delayed slightly due to connecting passengers from another flight.

The seat was very comfortable, with some really spacious legroom. Although just a side note a window seat on Qatar Airways Boeing 787 can be a bit of a nuisance to some very tall people due to an IFE box present. But minus that i would it was a fairly cozy seat. The seat also consisted of a decent sized IFE screen along with the IFE remote , a USB port for charging hand held devices and a coat hook.

Shortly after all the passengers had boarded the aircraft , the cabin crew distributed refreshing towels. Considering it was around 35 Degrees Celsius outside the refreshing towel was much appreciated.

The seat pocket contents included the " Oryx " inflight magazine, a disposal bag and the Boeing 787-8 safety card. I briefly went through the inflight magazine and it did contain some very interesting articles.

We pushed back from the remote stand around 30 minutes behind schedule due to a few passengers connecting from another flight .As it was 3 in the morning there were not many scenic views so i apologise for quality and lack of pictures.

Anyways after a short taxi to Runway 34R, we blasted out of Hamad International Airport. I finally got a stunning view of the wing flex of the Dreamliner and i have to say it is pretty remarkable.

Even though this was sort of short flight headphones were provided for the IFE system. They were pretty good , nothing too special about them.

Shortly there was a sunrise and it really looked stunning . The sunrise together with the amazing wing flex of the Dreamliner was an amazing combo. Do you like the Airbus A350 or the Boeing 787 better ?

For the meal service there was only one option. It consisted of chicken machboos ( Arabic style rice ) along with it a delicious macaroni salad, some rasmalai ( Pakistani desert ) and some sort of bread together with which i got a cup of orange juice. The meal tasted really good and much more than what you would get on 2 hour flight s with other airlines. But i was not quiet sure if rice with chicken was an ideal meal option for a flight bit hey that maybe is just my opinion.

The " Oryx One " IFE system was very extensive packed with loads of movies , TV shows and other entertainment options . Im quite certain there is something for everyone in this IFE system and i really dont see anyone getting bored on a flight onboard Qatar Airways . Anyways with my meal i decided to watch an episode of one of my favourite American TV serials " Brooklyn Nine-Nine". Any Nine-Nine fans out there ?

Meanwhile this was my view outside from my window , simply amazing

And just like that we were nearing our destination , Karachi . Wow time really goes by really quickly on Qatar Airways flights.

We then commenced our descent into Jinnah International Airport on a very cloudy morning.
The full landing can be found here for those interested.

On finals for Runways 25L……..

And touchdown in Jinnah International Airport……… Kudos to the pilots for the smooth landing. Even though we left Doha around 30minutes late the flight arrived on time.

After landing we commenced the short taxi to the International satellite terminal. That amazing wing flex still amazes me.

A little bit of plane spotting as we taxi to our gate…… a PIA Boeing 777-200ER getting prepared for its flight to London Heathrow.

And we make it to our assigned gate , Gate 26. And with that an end to a memorable first flight on the Dreamliner flight for me.
Thanks for this FR.
What a horrible flight schedule :(
Catering is a pleasant surprise, QR could have offered just a night snack on this 2 hour leg.
Thank you ? Yup the flight was completely at a wrong time . I agree something like a wrap and cupcake would have been ideal for this flight
