The wife and I had just spent the last week enjoy the best that America's North East has to offer and now it was time to return home. As we had used a Delta gift card our route would take us from Delta's focus city of Boston to hub at JFK then back to CLT.
Sit back and buckle up! Lets go flying!

Check in
I checked in 24 hours in advance via the Delta app and nothing to report on that front. Standard as can be and with no issues.
Arrival/bag drop/ security
We arrived at Terminal A which is operated by Delta and WestJet at 5:40. Check in was empty and within minutes my bag was heading backstage. TSA Precheck is to the left of security and again was very empty and within just a quick minute I was airside.

Sky Club
Boston has two Skyclubs, one right past security and another in the satellite terminal where widebodies to Europe depart. I decided to use my AMEX Platinum card to gain access to the Sky club just past security.

The Sky Club was pretty empty when I arrived. Breakfast was laid out and it included three hot options: hashbrowns, eggs and oatmeal as well as cold items such as yogurt and fruit. I would have preferred a hot meat selection but a free breakfast is better than no breakfast. Starbucks coffee (from a machine) and a wide tea selection was also available. I did not see any Coke products being offered as the bar was not yet open. Cold options included Orange Juice, Cranberry Juice, Milk and Water. The club had comfy seats and fast wifi. Plenty of charging ports with USBs could be found as well.
Sadly the only views were obscured ones of the terminal and not very conducive for spotting. The lounge is decent sized and was no where near capacity on this Sunday morning.
Boarding
After around 2 hours in the Sky Club, I made my way down the A1 for my flight to JFK.
The stroll from Sky Club to A1 was easy and took just a few moments and passed a few shops and food options.

Boarding began early at 7:45 and Main Cabin 2 was called at 7:56
Seat
The seat was standard and leg room was ok for such a short hop. The seat did not feature adjustable wing headrest. The cabin was clean as this was the first flight of the day for the young bird.

IFE
As on 99% (not really but close) of Delta flights, this one had Wifi. I wanted to rest my eyes so I didn't bother to log on.
The seatback had standard Delta magazine, safety card, wifi info booklet and a sick bag. The seats also did not feature any plugs as standard.
Food/Beverage
As standard on non "Shuttle" short flights no food or beverage service is conducted. I believe for one to be provided the flight has to be over 350 miles and this one clocks in around 180.
In-Flight/Landing
We pushed back 4 minutes early at 8:16 and made our way cross Logan to 22R. We were wheels up at 8:36. The flight was smooth and we touched down at 9:19 on 22L. We had fast taxi to the end of the "B" gates, Terminal 4. My next flight was leaving from the "C" gates, Terminal 2 but luckily the free Delta airside shuttle bus was close by.
