Good day all! Welcome to this trip report to Istanbul New Airport! This sector will be flown by Middle East Airlines.
The Lebanese-Turkish route always has a high load factor, thus bigger aircraft are almost always operating.
While checking in, there was a slight issue with Amadeus system because there was a conflicting passenger with the same name as mine, thus the system could not process my boarding pass for around 50 mins. The ground agents did an excellent job to re-issue me a new ticket with a new PNR. Finally I could go through border control and walk in the duty free.
While walking in the duty-free, I found quite an interesting cognac :) Tell me how you find this report, maybe we could go for a drink hehe.

Hello bird! My aircraft is OD-MEC for this flight.
Once I got on board, I got a great seat in economy, in 33D, which has an excellent legroom. You rate that! It was on the emergency exit, you know it is always good. As you may be aware, MEA doesn't have a mid-galley on their A330s, which grants their passengers an excellent legroom!
As we leveled off to our cruising altitude, we were distributed the meal, which included two sandwiches, (x1 Tuna and corn with mayo & x1 Gouda with tomato). It was accompanied by orange juice, water and two petits fours.
As we have landed in the new airport, we taxied for the next 10 minutes, and then reached our gate.
The senior gave me this fast track voucher, very nice from her!
It was a great flight overall, but the staff at the airport was VERY rude with me, as I have asked few questions, but most of the staff looked at me from above and did not answer a word!
