This is my first flight report
- On 16 April 2018, 3 days after Songkran Festival, I went to Nakhon Si Thammarat in southern Thailand to visit my grandmother.
- Check-in at terminal 2, Don Mueang Airport, I have check-in via mobile phone and show PDF file at the gate.
- Plane parking on gate 32, not far from the terminal, you can see terminal 2 in the photo
- Almost 3 year old aircraft, The Boeing 737-800(WL) with 189 seat, all economy class and the REG is HS-LUH
Flight departed on-time at 08:25
Take off
After take off, plane turn right pass the Nonthaburi City
Crossing the Chao Phraya River
Then, plane turn left toward to the south, pass my house on the west bank of Chao Phraya River
Inflight Magazine, the LIONMAG, showing the routing operated by Thai Lion Air
I have pre-order the meal onboard, the set contain main dish and drinking water.
- I have order the Shrimp Tamarind Sauce with Rice, this is fried shrimp with sweet and sour sauce.
- Some of rice still cold like unheated.
Plane nearly langding at Nakhon Si Thammarat Airport, you can see the coast before landing.
Nakhon Si Thammarat is small airport, no aerobridge, all flight park on the apron and wak to the Terminal.
Nakhon Si Thammarat Airport Terminal, Now, the new terminal is under construction.
- The Thai Lion Air is a low cost airline, everything meet my expectations.

Flew with Thai Lion a few years ago and it's pretty decent for a low-cost, though I'm not a massive fan of their website to book a flight as filling my cc details is a way too long process to complete and they often fly at unwanted times, but the shrimp with tamarind sauce meal seems to look decent, just a shame that it wasn't properly heated.

And that speaks very well of Thai Lion Air!! You might want to add the departure and arrival times to the flight data. Looks like you forgot to do that.
Isn't it exciting when you can see your house from the air? Sometimes I can see my city from the airplane, but it's too far from the airport to take good photos. :(

Wonderful architecture! That, and the possibility to walk on the apron, makes for a fantastic arrival!! Plenty of opportunities to take photos!

Hi Newuno, thanks for sharing your first report here with us! It's nice to see a review on Thai Lion Air as we don't see those too often. The pre-ordered meal looks pretty decent, too bad some of the rice was uncooked. Was the price reasonable?

I really like Don Mueang airport, mainly because it is well-connected to Bangkok train station! It was a really interesting experience!
The meal looks good, but they serve it even for breakfast?
Don Mueang Airway is also convenient for me too, because smaller than Suvarnabhumi and near my home than Suvarnabhumi.
