TRIP VIDEO: Singapore Airlines 9V-SQJ SQ426 Singapore - Mumbai
Transit
I had a 2 hours transit. As it was past midnight, Shops were closed. Having arrived past midnight at Terminal 3, had to catch Skytrain to Terminal 2. As there was not much to do rested till close to boarding time. View from Terminal 2.

Security
Checked the gate number as it was not available at the time of printing the boarding pass.

SQ426 would be departing from Terminal 2 - Gate F33.
Having received boarding pass for Mumbai flight in Melbourne. Had to complete security check before boarding next flight. Passed through security without issues.

Waiting Area
After completing security, passport and boarding pass was checked before allowed to continue in the waiting area.

Boarding
Boarding was called on time, Seated in rear of the aircraft, boarded immediately upon call by seat numbers. Being dark, view of aircraft - SQ 9V-SQJ with reflection.

Crew was greeting passengers and checking boarding pass. Directed passengers to their seats. Passing the business class cabin to enter the economy section.

Reached the assigned seat, Crew distributed cold towels.

Pushback and Departure
Pushback had commenced on time. This flight was new number due to changed time. Mumbai airport main runway was being relaid and Singapore Airlines did not operate from the secondary runway. This flight schedule was to avoid operating from the secondary runway.
Safety demonstration was displayed on personal screen.
Watch the above video for flight experience. This flight is a red-eye being dark throughout the trip.

Cabin Service
Cabin service commenced 40 mins after departure.
No Menu was provided. On this flight options were - Veg, Non-Veg and International selection.
Drinks was provided, Followed by meal. As I had special meal order - HMNL got served first.
Dish was lamb, dal and rice.

Onboard
Being a red-eye, cabin lights were turned off after meal service. I slept for about 2 hrs, Crew had distributed the Indian immigration and customs form. Being non-citizen, had to fill the forms,. Indian citizen did not have to fill the immigration form as they provide details when exiting the country.

Singapore Airlines Boeing 777-200 Safety card.

As I had slept mostly of the flight. Switched on Kirsworld to check the flight location. There was no outside view being dark through the journey. Video covers the trip in more details.

Arrival in Mumbai
Descent commenced half hour before arrival. Pilot informed crew to prepare for landing. Cabin lights were switched on. Crew conducted safety check.
Passed over Navi Mumbai then Thane creek to line up on runway 27.
Landed and taxied towards Terminal 2. Watch video for arrival experience.
Immigration and Customs
Being an early arrival before Arabian flights, The immigration counters were not busy. Got alcohol at Mumbai duty free as shops were closed in Singapore. Didn't see much price difference, paid in Australian Dollars. Collected bag from carousel and headed towards Customs.
I have not carried any customable item for almost 30 years. Can get everything in Mumbai for almost similar or cheaper price.
During 80's traveling from Doha, customs used to take 5-6 hrs, arrival used to be awful experience. Dreaded the wait after long day. These days most passengers are out within 5 mins after collecting bag as it is scanned before hitting the carousel.
Exit Airport
After customs check, was in the waiting area. Booked pre-paid taxi from the kiosk. Exited the terminal building and into the taxi stand on lower floor. It was early morning , traffic was light. Reached home in 35 mins.
Hope you enjoyed this trip report. Thanks for reading.
