My nice SQ BP (for a LH flight) in hand I headed to the transfer
I had great views on the gates
I had to clear immigration(to enter Schengen area) but I was expecting to be able to reach the A gates staying in sterile area
Of course it's FRA so I had to walk through endless corridors
But even worse I had to exit landside and go through all the checks :(
I finally arrived at the Senator Lounge
It was very large and pleasant with different areas
The entrance with a gorgeous picture
The showroom with the products sold by LH (you can even buy them with miles)
Only one hot dish
The delicious croissants (really really good)
My selection was of course few croissants and the delicious Kleine Bauer yoghourt
I asked for a shower and I received a beeper
It was saturday morning but I had to wait one hour and half :(
Spotting is not easy
Then it was shower time
I had to hurry up because it was almost boarding time

I arrived at the gate
My aircraft is an Airbus A321 D-AISO, first flight was on the 18/08/2008
Boarding was delayed so I spotted few LH brothers
Boarding was about to begin
Some business passengers seemed to have the feeling that it was their own aircraft :(
I sat on a NEK seat
with a decent legroom for such a flight time
The business cabin
The middle seat is not neutralized
Pushback and taxi to runway

Late take off
Two Air Namibia could be seen
Above the clouds
A collation is served : as usual with LH it's a mix of everything the cook has found :)
Breaded Shrimp Skewer on Mango salsa, Asian Chicken Skewer, Smocked Breast of Duck, Asian Vegatable Salad, pickled Ginger Greek yoghurt with Honey, Nuts and dried fruit
Note that in the english version menu, the german Sekt(sparkling wine) became Champagne !!

Two chocolates ended the meal

We were in a Business Class cabin !
We began our descent to Vienna
We landing on time at Vienna Schwechat
What a pain to go through all security checks again.
The SEN lounge seems crowded but there's enough space between the tables and seat, so it seems you don't get this cramped feel.
1hr30 for shower, I hope it was clean at least ;-)

Great comment on the catering :) looks as if the chef has opened the fridge and took whatever was available lol

The flight is quite okay...but of course we don't expect more from European flights, do we ;) ?
What did you think of Vienna airport? Did you go on the terrace to go spotting? It's not very interesting in the late afternoon, there is probably more traffic in the morning hours.
As you'll see in my next FR there was almost nothing except a 747 OZ cargo and a A320 QR
The lounge ist angenehm but the waiting time for a shower is negatively amazing.
+1 as usual with LH it's a mix of everything the cook has found :) LH : is the L for Left-overs?
Even if the flight is short, the cabin has nothing to see with a J. Shoud be more honestly named for what it is : a Y+ (lounge access, better light meal...)

The offerings at the lounge are actually good.
I don't understant why germans who are known for efficiency let FRA remain such a mess.
Really how hard would it be to make possible landiside transfers?
