To say British Airways is on the decline due to the complaints about Heathrow maybe a bit premature. This route from London City to Frankfurt International is a mainstay between the two financial hubs. Let it not be dismissed that London City should just be for the use of those working in the financial centre. It is a small, compact efficient airport, processes work even if it does not have the power of a Gatwick. London City was easy to get to for one who started in South London.
British Airways are good at running short haul flights, they do what they are good at on these routes. The flight to Frankfurt passed without a hitch. The great weather at both points added to the ambience of a rather cool day. Having the aircraft parked close to the terminal was more eye-catching than I expected, maybe the backdrop of the Docklands helps when the skies are blue. Boarding was swift and passed without any delays.
The staff were more than attentive and had nothing major to be assessed with. For once I did not have to look away from the trolley as the juice and snacks were complimentary. The interior of the aircraft had been cleaned, presentation was perfect, no worries for me on the COVID prevention side.
Within five minutes of parking at Frankfurt I was off the aircraft, for once a nice calm journey. I would more than likely fly BA again if I return to Frankfurt.

To me British Airways is in decline just like Lufthansa Group and Air France-KLM as they are cutting more and more services day by day compared to years ago while charging the same amount for the ticket as they did in the past. Though Cityflyer's service is definitely better than mainline airline British Airways from London Heathrow.
