INTRODUCTION
After 2 days in Toronto, I flew to Calgary.
The reviews about Flair weren't so good and I had zero expectations, I chose this flight because it was cheaper than Air Canada and WestJet flights and the time was suitable for me.
As it turned out, the flight was very good.
YYZ AIRPORT - TERMINAL 3
I arrived to the airport 2.5 hours before the flight.

The check in queue was pretty long, it took approximately 40 minutes to get my boarding pass.
Check in area:

My boarding pass:

After the check in, I went to the security check.
I waited 15-20 minutes in the line, which isn't too much in my opinion.
The security process was very strict, I needed to empty my hand bag, meaning I had a lot of fun to reinsert my photography gear (2 mirrorless cameras, Gopro, 4 lenses and laptop) :)
I was also chosen to get body scan (they probably choose people randomly, on my way back to Israel, they chose my fiancee).
After security check:

This terminal was pretty nice, there were many places to grab something to eat and many places for shopping!

I went to tim hortons and bought coffee and a small cookie:

And of course, after I bought some coffee, the best thing to do in the airport (in my opinion at least) is drink some coffee and photograph some photos :)

I found Canada very interesting in regard to plane spotting, since the only Canadian airline that flies to Israel is Air Canada (currently with the Boeing 787 and with the Boeing 777 in the future), so even some Air Canada 737 or A220 were interesting.
Of course, I never saw Flair\Swoop\AeroFlyer in Europe, so I found it very nice to catch something new!
And of course, I must visit the toilets:

As you can see, the toilets condition was good, but could be a bit better.
I started to make my way to the aircraft, as opposed to what I'm used to in Israel and Europe with LCC, in Canada LLC uses jet bridges.
In Israel and Europe, most of the time - they aren't.

Boarding started on time, and I made my way on the jet bridge:

Aircraft information:
Boeing 737 MAX 8
C-FLQZ
In service since Jun 2022,
Currently (February 2023) almost 4 years old, however, this aircraft was supposed to be part of Air Europa fleet but not taken up.
Boeing manufactured this aircraft in June 2019, it became part of Flair fleet in June 2022, meaning that in fact I flew on a 4 months old aircraft!
FLIGHT EXPERIENCE - YYZ TO YYC
The first row:

I went to my seat (17F), my fiancee sat in 17E and some guy sat in 17D.
The aircraft wasn't full, so the cabin crew moved the passenger near us to other seat, and we had an European business experience :)
Wing view:

This aircraft is equipped with overhead screens, but on our flight no one turned them on.

As you can see, the cabin was clean and new!
The legroom with my bag under the seat in front of me:

As you can see, there are some signs in Spanish in this aircraft.
I was surprised to find USB sockets in this aircraft:

And the legroom without my bag:

It wasn't amazing, but also it wasn't terrible.
Push back started on 13:40:

Some plane spotting during taxi process:

More wing view…

Taxi and take off video:
Shortly after take off:

15 minutes after take off, I went to the toilet in the front, while I waited to the toilets to be free, I saw this:

IFE inop, meaning that maybe Flair uses the overhead screen, but something was broken on our flight (or maybe to not use it at all?).
The toilet:

Again with some Spanish signs…
The toilet in the front were small, but clean.
45 minutes after take off, the cabin crew offered food and drinks to buy,
I bought a cup of coffee for 3$, the coffee was ok, but nothing special.

Wing view during flight:

2 hours into the flight, I went to the rear toilet:

Again, small toilet but clean.
Cabin view:

Starting to decent…

Landing video:

Spoilers deployed!

We arrived to the gate at 15:45, which means that although we had a small delay in the take off, we landed on time.
Cabin view again:

Deboarding:

YYC AIRPORT
I made my way to the baggage claim area:

As you can see, Calgary airport has a lot to offer, many shops and many places to eat.
I found it strange that while I looked to exit from the airport, I walked near gates of flights that supposed to take off.
In Israel, the inbound and outbound flights are separated, as well on some European airports I visited.
Our baggage arrived very quick, 10-15 minutes after deboarding!
Before I took our car from the rental company, I visited the toilets in Calgary airport:

As you can see, the toilets were clean.
The way to the rental cars area was a bit confusing, but eventually I found it!

The service was very good here also.
I ordered Toyota Camry, but decided to upgrade it to AWD (4X4) car, since I was afraid to tackle some icy or snowy roads.
Eventually, everything went fine and the road condition was perfect.

Hi, Dor!
Life is full of surprises!
Good for you! Extra fun! hahaah
W-elllll... I have heard that the level of RANDOMNESS can vary. Some people seem to have been born to be randomly checked all the time. But it's random.

Hah! You discovered our plan! We will displace English from North America little by little, one cabin at a time. Mwahahaha.
Now that I think of it, it's weird. Shouldn't it be FRENCH and English in Canada??? I checked the list of operators for this aircraft at airfleets.net, and Flair is the only one!! Hah! Someone is going to get fired for this mistake!
Look! The sign under the WC lid is in English and French, you see? And the rest in Spanish. Someone mixed up the languages!
Onboard service, USB charging ports, nice, modern cabin, not bad at all! Flair Airlines does a good job, in my opinion.
"Álamo." Hey! Spanish again! These people are obsessed! haha
Thanks for sharing!
Hi,
usually I check in Planespotters.
As you can see, this aircraft originally ordered by Air Europa:
https://www.planespotters.net/airframe/boeing-737-max-8-c-flqz-flair-airlines/e2w0zd
You can see that the sharklets are still looks like Air Europa ones.
And yes, in Canada they speak English and French.
Oh, I see!!! C-FLQZ was with air europa!! Mystery solved! Know what? I was about to suggest that Spain was involved in all this because of that word "lavabo" (sink) in the lavatory. I think that word is used only in Spain. But then airfleets.net sent me down the wrong path. I will never be a good detective! ?
