Welcome to COPENHAGEN !
I didn't even notice this email until after I had arrived in Stockholm. But well done to SAS for keeping me informed !

After walking up some stairs into the Terminal, I could see my CPH-ARN gate 2 mins away so I used the washroom next to me.
I could see a flurry of passengers who had come off the Air India flight from Delhi as well as those going onto the Delhi flight.
Star Alliance hub activity at it's best !
Toilet Time !

At 1905pm, a uniformed male arrived at the gate and without using a tannoy, spoke to the large group of passengers and advised that the aircraft operating this flight had been delayed all day due to bad weather.
He advised the inbound flight was late, that SAS had tried to get an alternative aircraft but had not managed to do so. He asked if anyone had questions so I went over. The seated passengers were most impressed with the update and it was nice to not have anyone being aggressive or believing the are the only passenger. Never seen anything like this but it was really appreciated by myself and all !
There was a gentleman ahead of me so I waited patiently. Another guy tried to play clever and take over me. I don’t think so mate ! He promptly was told I am next and backed away.
So here I am at the gate and even the SAS gentleman’s uniform didn’t give anything away.
When I told him I need a boarding pass, he said the ground staff will be along shortly and will sort this. I told him I thought he was ground staff. To which he politely and with a smile, replied that he is “ flying this thing” ! I was only talking to the First Officer for goodness sake !
The cue for passengers around me to burst into laughter. I was in awe that such an esteemed gentleman had taken the time to brief us all !
I could hear someone nearby on Microsoft Teams. The distinct ringtone was very audible and reminded me of being at work as we use MT too
A guy on a Buggy ,dropped a lady off the Air India flight from Delhi then asked a random Indian looking passenger if he speaks Hindi and if he will ensure lady gets on flight. The guy said yes :)

My ride to Stockholm - finally an A320neo and not a CRJ-900 !

2 SAS ladies arrived at the gate – the one who served me was excellently groomed and had a lovely smile. She printed my boarding pass and told me of the flight time to Arlanda. True Scandinavians !
I had to laugh when I heard an announcement “ This is the last and absolutely final call for passengers on Air India flight AI158 to Delhi”… !!
Printed Boarding Pass

Digital Boarding Pass

An interesting fact about Boarding in Copenhagen. I only showed my Pssport as I wanted a printed Boarding Pass. Had I not shown it then when it came to Boarding Time, it was Smart Boarding as in just me scanning the Boarding Pass.
Copenhagen - a hub for connectivity , an oasis for relaxation !

NOW BOARDING FOR STOCKHOLM ARLANDA !

I Boarded just before 2000pm and I was the last to board. As you see in my reports,I rarely board last but hey we all live and learn !
The Smiling Purser and Airhostess greeted me nicely – I told them of my journey today and how I had utmost admiration for SAS. They were both happy to hear this. I said Good Evening to a smiling Airhostess on the way to my seat. Handluggage had to go under the seat as all overhead lockers were full ! Another first for me !
Torborg Viking - lighting up the Danish night with her beauty !

A full full house tonight !

My phone needs some serious recharging !

From the Flightdeck the First Officer said he was at the gate before and gave a briefing of the flight ahead.
The crew then did welcome announcement followed swiftly by a manual safety demonstration. at 2003pm just as the aircraft pushed back.
The engines started up and we taxied out into the Danish night. Announcements done in (potentially ) Danish and Swedish followed by an English summary.
TAKE OFF
At 2010pm, we rotated from Copenhagen after a short but sweet stay in the Danish capital ! By this time I did not know who I was or where I was ! Sadly another aisle seat so no take off views but my lovely neighbour on the window ( a CPH staff member) took this photo at my request !

inflight service / ife

Scandinavian Traveller seems to have a new title font - loved this article about Stockholm's best coffee breaks. I saw this when on the ground. As you see, articles are not updated frequently. I say bring back Scanorama and have it hygienically sealed and offer it to passengers who want a copy and will take it away.

No way am I having another tea or coffee today ! Time to spend some Swedish Kroners and enjoy a Froosh smoothie !

No SAS branding on the serviette. Not sure why SAS don't have this most basic of branding elements.

On the way to Stockholm ! The service began and I was sick of tea/coffee so thought I'd pay for a froosh smoothie and test out my Revolut card ahead of arrival in Sweden.
The Airhostess serving me told me the crew is Oslo based. I told her of my amazing OSLMAN flight last year and how, if I wasn’t British, I would want to be Norwegian and she smiled happily !
I understand that the SAS Plus passengers were served a Margarita Roll . The Flight passed uneventfully.

My first ever view of Sweden !

At 2055pm, with 15 minutes to landing, the flight deck's Rickard ( First Officer) came on to advise temperature is Stockholm is - 4.
I better Wrap up I thought !!
A very engaging announcement and apology for SAS not meeting the schedule today.
The Purser then made an announcement and she advised of gate numbers for passengers connecting to Tallin (delayed),Skelleftea,Umea,Lulea,Turku.
The Purser was asked by one of my seat neighbours for their gate and was advised that they hadn't been given info but ground staff would help.
The lovely Purser, on hearing this was my 3rd flight today very cheerfully said I would likely get extra points. I laughed at the time but would I really get extra Eurobonus points ? Find out on my return flight !
välkommen till stockholm !
Well…Welcome to Arlanda anyway ! At 2110pm after being in cloud for sometime, we suddenly thumped onto the runway at Stockholm !
See you again soon was mentioned in the landing announcement as well as to be mindful of a difference in the aircraft and the airbridge. The crew were lovely, 1 crew member left the Aircraft at Stockholm and a new one joined. They would be flying back to Copenhagen rightaway . FO Rickard wished me a great trip as I exited the aircraft. What a gentleman !

Now I get a window…as I am about to disembark !

The Flightplan

Loop d'loop to get to Stockholm !

Let's connect !

Swedish Art to welcome me - very Scandinavian !

You can tell you are in the homeland of Ikea - super slick Scandinavian furnishings ! You see USB ports, in the homeland of Ericsson, but these are not the norm in Sweden !!!. I would have this problem all throughout my stay in Stockholm ! Be warned…carry a socket/adapter !

Almost took the flygbussarna - cheap but takes around an hour.

After a Scandinavian odyssey, my Banana Yellow TRIPP suitcase follows me into Stockholm ! Yellow like the Swedish flag but this is not the last bit of yellow tonight !

welcome to my hometown
Photos of Famous Swedes exhibition - weird that Zara Larrsson is under a shadowy area of the hall !
