hello again and welcome to another trip report on singapore airlines ride home on a B777 300 ER ride home despite being my third time taking it after 5 months riding it to and from beijing also on a B777 300ER. singapore airlines sq892 and sq 893 deploys the a380 all year round however it was temporary downgraded to a B777 300 ER for flights on april and may due to operation reasons nevertherless i do enjoy the B777 300ER product again for a 3 hours flight home from hongkong
check in was done online 3 days prior to my return flight on the singapore airlines website and recieve a seats on row 50 at the front rear section of the B777 300 ER aircraft , on the day of departure we head to the airport 3 hours earlier by cityflyer bus service A10 outside the hotel upon checkout of the hotel .The check in queue is short since there 2 singapore airlines flights departing at 2.25 pm with SQ883 a350 regional and 3.40pm our flight with SQ893 B777 300ER we gotten physical boarding pass and drop my suitcase at the online check in lane before grabbing lunch at the tai hing restraunt at the arrival hall downstairs we also returned the octopus card at the airport express train station near the ground transportation centre
after lunch we pass thru the e security gate and cleared security and immigration which took about 10 minutes thanks to the smart departure clearance and Electronic security gate with facial recognition and made my way to gate 6 to board my flight home
upon reaching gate 6 i found my ride home its a 10 years old 1 month B777 300 ER 9v nine victor sww (sierra whiskey whiskey) it was just arrived from singapore as SQ892 and making a turnaround back to singapore as SQ893

behind of B777 300ER was another singapore airlines a350 900 regional configuration 9V SHO operating as SQ 883 heading back to singapore as well but departed earlier than our B777 300 ER
Boarding begin around 2.45 pm and was well organised starting from first class to zone 5 economy class and it uses a facial recognition system and picked up earphones at the jetbridge and walk past business class seats,premium economy seats and the foward section of the economy seats
The inflight entertainment system also known as krissworld has great sellection of TV ,music and movies and the inflight map is interactive can zoom in and out even my favourite inflight map is the voyager 3d map
Hot towels were given shortly and then i decided to watch my first movie tenage mutant ninja turtles TMNT 2007
Pushback was ontime and the safety video Began played with mandrian chinnese subtitles and the loud engine start of the GE 90 engines before taxing to runway 7R
Shortly after the safety video was played also found the advertisment of the skytrax awards 2023 as singapore airlines is the best airline in the year 2023 followed by the video on how to connect to the krissworld wifi before Resuming the TMNT 2007 movie while it taxi to runway 7R for takeoff
Shortly after takeoff seatbelts sign were switch off there free wifi onboard most of the singapore airlines flight even for krissflyer member however i did face difficulties connecting to the wifi onboard
Dinner service was serve shortly after takeoff and the choice are roasted chicken thigh with thyme sauce and mashed potato or braised pork and pumpkin with sweet femented sauce and rice. The menu can be avaliable on the digital content portal or before your flight on the singapore airlines website
As the meal trolley reach my row they ran out of the chicken thigh with thyme sauce option and given the braised pork and pumpkin with sweet femented sauce and rice instead .The rice and the pork were delicious as well as the thai style shrimp salad and the usual bread and butter
Did watch another movie Trolls band together 2023 during the meal service and shortly served Haagen-dazs vanilla ice cream for dessert and were flying over vietnam when checking the inflight map
Few hours has passed and the flight comes to an end with a landing music when decending into changi airport runway 2L and a short taxi to Gate B5 of Changi airport terminal 3
we desembark at gate B5 of terminal 3 which is a short walk away to arrival Hall and immigration was quick at the Eiacs e gates when completing the SGAC singapore arrival card with health Decleration no more than 3 days prior to my trip home it can be done via the ica website or the ica app. After immigration it took quite a while to pick up my suitcase before heading home via ride share (grab) and it was slightly overpriced than normal taxi with usual airport surcharges and waited 20 mintues for a ride home overall it was the best ride on the B777 300 ER for a 3 hour ride back to singapore and fantastic cabin crew.

Although the B777 300 ER is my new favourite aircraft of the singapore airlines fleet it still comfortable and better than most other aircraft i have taken also and definetly ride It again on other long haul flights
