Review of Singapore Airlines flight from Singapore to Hong Kong in Economy

hello  again  welcome to another trip report this time were flying on singapore airlines A350 regional configuration down to hongkong for my hari raya puasa vacation  and really excited to try out what the cabin look like on the regional configuration as the a350 regional was introduce in 2018 as a replacement to the A330 300 and B777 regional  series  and it also operates  6 daily service with a mixture of  A350 long haul (9v sm) and (sj series) and regional sh series  and A380 800 refurbished  sk series however is was  downgraded to a B777 300 ER (sw and sn) series  due to operation reasons
 fun fact about singapore airlines a350 regional  it doesnt have premium economy and meant for flights with a range up to  8 hours  

check in

Check in was done online on the singapore airlines website a day prior to departure and obtain a online boarding pass as well and we selected  the seats all the way at the rear of the A350 900 regional  and also obtain a phsyical boarding pass and bag tags  and drop off  our suitcase at the automated check in machine of row 3/4 of changi airport terminal 3  upon reaching the aiport from my home via grab .Immigration was quick using eiacs and made our way to Gate A12  for boarding and also spotted A380 9V SKN arriving from mumbai india 

security take place at the gate and scanning the boarding pass at the gate agent before entering the holding area upon scanning also recieve the arrival card to enter hongkong and boarding was organised and called in  groups starting from business class to economy and our ride to hongkong was a 5 year old A350 900  regional 9V nine victor  SHG (Sierra hotel golf )

we also boarded by the back door and given the earphone by the jet bridge and wall all the way to the back of the a350 900 regional my seat was 70 E  the middle last row of the a350 regional the seat was great  and the inflight entertainment screen also known as krissworld was new  as the panasonic ex3 since it was using thales avant with newer interface even the flightmap was interactive as well the boarding music was played throughout even the promotional video of the month movie selection  there even a free wifi on most singapore airlines when becoming as a krissflyer member  however the wifi was not working for this flight 

hot towel service was given as well and the flight time is estimated to be 3 hours and 15 minutes and also start off with my first movie willy wonka and the chocolate factory 1971 a classic flim to the charlie and the chocolate factory 2005 and the new wonka movie 2023 

we push back ontime and the safety video was played with mandrain chinnese subtitles and engine was started with slight sound of the a350 flaps 

meal service

we taxi past terminal 3 and takeoff from runway 2 R  shortly after takeoff the seatbelts sign went off and brunch service began also the choice are omellete with country style chicken patties or soy braised  pork belly with vermicelli also know as tau yu bak the menu can be check on the singapore airlines website or the menu option on the new function of the a350 

the meal service was started from the front to the back and i choose  the omelette with country style chicken patties a try it was more delicious as well as the egg and the potatos even the usual bread and butter ,fruits and yogurt and mineral water bottle as well  there even no dessert on morning flights out of singapore 

shortly during  the meal service i watch another movie which is wall E 2008 few hours gone past and begin to decent to hongkong airport  with landing music played and touchdown at runway 7L ontime at 12.12pm  and parked at gate 28 of hkg airport

seatbelt sign were switch off and took quite a while to disembark the aircraft and take 5 minutes walk to the  immigration and there  quite long queue for the visitor lane however it was quick and efficent and proceeded to baggage claim to pick up my suitcase and then head to the ground transportation centre to catch the cityflyer buses to the city

there are many airport buses operated by long win buses LWB and cityflyer bus to go to the city and the ride can be paid with octopus card a public transport  card allow to take many public transport around hongkong such as the bus,tram,MTR train and the public transport  system is much efficent as singapore for this trip we stayed at best western plus hongkong which requires to take Cityflyer service  A10 bus  

The CItyflyer service A10  bus came 15 minutes later and tap the octopus card to get onboard  the bus and kept the suitcase at the lugguage rack and sitted at the front of the upper deck of the cityflyer bus  and enjoyed the sceenery along the way and alight at the bus stop behind the best western plus hotel in sai ying pun district  of hongkong island
