Welcome back! Today I'll be trying out Singapore Airlines' Suites on my flight from Mumbai to Singapore onboard their A380-800. I booked my flight a couple of weeks and booked a mixed cabin ticket. (BOM-SIN in F and the return in J).
CHECK-IN & LOUNGE
Since it was the eve of India's Independence Day, the airport was lit with colors of the Indian flag.
After a quick check in at the dedicated Suites counter, I headed straight to security & immigration which took around 30 mins even with a dedicated First & Business class priority lane since it was peak time at Mumbai airport for departures.
A quick visit to the Adani First class lounge
Dining area
Ordered some delicious lamb tacos
Heading to the gate
BOARDING
Boarding on time. Singapore Airlines operates 2 night flights from Mumbai, one with an A380 and the other with the A350-900
Today's aircraft:
Singapore Airlines
Airbus A380-800
9V-SKM
My seat for tonights red eye to Singapore: 3F
The cabin offers 6 seats in a 1-1 configuration on the upper deck of the A380
The seat itself is comfortable and plush
I was served a welcome drink along with some warm nuts.
Takeoff RWY27
AFTER TAKEOFF
The lavatory is large and spacious
Unlike Emirates & Etihad which has a shower suite at the front of the cabin, Singapore Airlines has opted against this
Lalique sleeper suit, socks and slippers provided
The seat itself offers a decent amount of recline, when passengers want to relax but not sleep
B&O noise cancelling headphones
MEAL
I chose the chicken with corn pan cotta for starters however the pan cotta was tasteless and pretty odd
Seafood noodle soup for main. This was delicious and light, perfect for a 5 hour red eye
BED
Time for a quick nap after a nice meal
BEFORE LANDING
Good morning!
Sunrise over the Strait of Malacca
The seat revolves 270 degrees so you can face the window for a nice cup of morning tea
This is the bed when fully stowed away
Final approach into Singapore
ARRIVAL
Welcome to Singapore!
Quickly deplaned and headed to immigration & baggage claim which took less than 10 minutes
Wow! I've always loved the SQ A380 F product, and I'd hope to fly on it one day. I enjoyed your review!
