Welcome back! Today I'll be trying out Singapore Airlines' Suites on my flight from Mumbai to Singapore onboard their A380-800. I booked my flight a couple of weeks and booked a mixed cabin ticket. (BOM-SIN in F and the return in J).

CHECK-IN & LOUNGE

Since it was the eve of India's Independence Day, the airport was lit with colors of the Indian flag.

After a quick check in at the dedicated Suites counter, I headed straight to security & immigration which took around 30 mins even with a dedicated First & Business class priority lane since it was peak time at Mumbai airport for departures.

My seat for tonights red eye to Singapore: 3F

The cabin offers 6 seats in a 1-1 configuration on the upper deck of the A380

The seat itself is comfortable and plush

I was served a welcome drink along with some warm nuts.

AFTER TAKEOFF

The lavatory is large and spacious

Unlike Emirates & Etihad  which has a shower suite at the front of the cabin, Singapore Airlines has opted against this

photo img_9539photo img_9543

Lalique sleeper suit, socks and slippers provided

photo img_9547

The seat itself offers a decent amount of recline, when passengers want to relax but not sleep

B&O noise cancelling headphones

MEAL

I chose the chicken with corn pan cotta for starters however the pan cotta was tasteless and pretty odd

photo img_9565

Seafood noodle soup for main. This was delicious and light, perfect for a 5 hour red eye

Conclusion

I really enjoyed the flight overall, even though it was just short of 5 hours flying time. The crew were absolutely fantastic, and so was their attention to detail. I've always had mixed reviews about the food served out of Mumbai on SQ, the starter was decent however could be flavorful. The main course on the other hand was a delicious rich broth, perfect to digest and get a few hours of rest before waking up bright and early into Singapore. Thanks for viewing! Let us know if you have any questions about the seat.
