I arrived at PMI airport when sunset was in full swing.
Check In was very quick at the priority desks of Lufthansa Group due to my Star Alliance Gold status.
Security took a while on that busy evening. Once airside I headed to the VIP Lounge 'Formentor' at D gates wing which LH group premium/status guests can use free of charge.
The lounge has a strange atmosphere - the white design all is very damaged and dirty already and the whole lounge on the lower floor has more of a canteen style feeling. It was also very crowded.

I just had a small selection.
Boarding started on time and I took my window seat.

We departed on time for a flight of ca. 2 hours.
Service started with a small free of charge water bottle.
I had pre ordered a meal box from the inflight menu some days before. In October preordered meals come with a free hot or soft drink as a special. The meal incl. drink costed ca. 10 EUR.
I ordered some Coke Zero which was refilled free of charge by the very friendly crew a little bit later on the flight.

The snacks all tasted good - only the sandwich being a little bit on the dry side.
Free of charge chocolates were also distributed.
We started our descend and parked on time at Terminal 2 late in the evening.

Hi Alex, thanks for this short but nice review introducing (at least to me) the pre-ordered meal box proposed by LH on economy. Looks good and really competitive vs airport price. Do you know if it's available on all European routes ? Anyway a nice flight even if i'm not fan at all of the NEK seats.

Hi - those meals should be available on all European Flights (excluding German Domestic routes). You can also buy them onboard but they might be out of stock. So it is better to Pre Order them - this also comes with a small Price benefit compared to spontaneous purchases on board.
Nice report as usual! It's nice to see there are pre-order meal options in Economy. Looks quite decent.

Thanks for sharing Alex, though LH has become very basic, their add-ons are at least reasonably priced and the dean&david meals look to represent good quality for their price.
