Here we begin our journey that will take us first to DOHA and then to JAKARTA.
Here I report the flight report on DOHA and then we will have the next installment for the flight from DOHA to JAKARTA.
Venice Marco Polo Airport is a nice and easily accessible airport that can be reached by public transportation or dedicated shuttles from Venice or Mestre.
We prefer the cab which is more convenient and not overly expensive, about €35.
As soon as you enter you immediately find directions to find the check-in desks for your airline.
Immediately spotting the Qatar desk reserved for those who have already checked in online we quickly process the check in.
The staff is very friendly and professional.
We head, then, to the 'access to all the gates where we go through security very quickly without any problems, perhaps also because there are not too many people yet.

The flight is crowded but the staff manages with get everyone seated quickly and we get to our seat row 22 without any problems.
The seats are comfortable and the distance to the one in front, for me, is not enough…I touch with my knees….
But I also find a small table to place small items on…

Short taxi to the runway and ready for takeoff.
Takeoff, and right turn to head for Croatia and to bring us up to cruise altitude.
As soon as the indication of belts fastened is turned off the activity of the crew comes alive.
Always present is the safety instruction, and safety directions are communicated via a nice video, but it lasts a little too long for me!!!!.
The screen on the seat is touch only but you can see it well enough even though there are few games!!!!
Choice of movies also in Italian well stocked.
The meal is served, and we who chose it beforehand are served before the others….
However, the service is always good and the choice of drinks is more than sufficient and varied.
The bubbly wine is also good although French…
The time has come for the descent for landing, which takes place without any problems….
After a “short” taxi on the runways of a “big” airport…and here we are at the finger for our disembarkation
Disembarking from the plane, one walks down long corridors where there are also treadmills, but after several hours of sitting, it is better to stretch one's legs.
Everything is very clean, as are the bathrooms, where the attendant staff is always ready to meet the needs of travelers.
Now we are waiting for the security check procedure which is very fast and the staff efficient and friendly.

DOHA airport is very large and full of all kinds of stores and places to eat and drink for all tastes.
Our wait will be 4 hours and 20 minutes for the next flight to CGK.
