INTRODUCTION
Hey Yall, Welcome back to Winged Reviews!! I was super excited for this flight because it will be my first time on my favorite plane the 777-300ER! This flight is on one of Americans most popular routes from London to DFW, right now there are 4 flights a day between London and DFW. Three of them are flown by American and one of them is flown with British Airways. Feel free to watch the review or read about it!

BACKGROUND
This flight was part of a pretty big trip. We had a layover in London Heathrow so we flew in on the British Airways A320 and that one will be posted soon. Once we landed in Heathrow we followed the signs to the connecting gates. There were different signs and depending on what airline you would be flying with. We went to the American and British Airways section. There was a big line for American so we waited and once we checked in for our flight the sent us to security and the line was massive. it was just this big white room and we waited in line for about 45 minutes. You definitely need extra time if you are traveling through Heathrow.
Lounge
With my credit card I was able to get into the No1 Lounge at Heathrow. It was an ok lounge. The food options were lacking, it only had a few side dishes and a broken pancake maker. There was a few soft drinks and a full bar. One thing that was special about this lounge was that it had a mini movie theater, it was pretty full. This lounge also had lots of semi private rooms. I was there around 4:30pm and the lounge was packed there was no waiting list but it was definitely nearing capacity and almost every seat was filled. The lounge looked very cramped because it only had a few window that had a small view of the runway.

Cabin Interior.
American Airlines is the only US airline to still have International first class. They have 8 first class seats on there 777-300ERs. The seats are even on tracks to they can turn towards the window which I think is really cool. It also has 52 business class seats in a 1-2-1 configuration. But sadly we are not flying in either of those classes today, we are in regular economy class. I originally had seat 22K but when I got to my seat someone was sitting there and he told me that his wife had the window seat and he originally had the aisle seat so he wanted to switch seats. The only problem I had with the aisle seat was that it was the seat where the economy seats switch from 2-4-2 to 3-4-3. So my seat had a lot of leg room but a tray table and screen that comes out of the arm rests. Luckily when the FA said that boarding had finished the row in front of me 21 was empty so I was able to snatch that up for the flight.

PROBLEM WITH BOARDING.
During boarding multiple people were escorted to the from of the plane and the Captain came on the PA and said that they were being kicked off the flight because they were arguing with the FA's and they were uncooperative. So there was a 40 minute delay as the bags were unloaded from the plane. Just the start of the fun Journey.

DINNER SERVICE
The option was chicken or pasta. I picked the chicken with mashed potatoes. It came with a water bottle, bread roll, small salad, and a little chocolate cake. The chicken and mashed potatoes were pretty good but it was a little dry.

American Airlines gives out wooden utensils in Economy class and I got two knives and that came in handy because the first time I tried to cut my chicken one of them broke.

LAVERATORY
Next, lets check out the lavatories. It came with all the standard stuff like a baby changing table, mirror, sink, and no extra amenities. but it was clean, and I will take clean bathroom over extra amenities any day.

I even wore my Boeing shirt for this special occasion
.

SNACKS
In the aft galley of the plane there a small crate of snacks and drinks. This is what it looked like when they first put it out.

This is what it looked like after it had been out for a while.

In Flight Entertainment.
Now lets check out the in flight entertainment. It has a pretty wide selection of things on it from movies to tv shows and even songs.

BEFORE LANDING SNACK
About an hour and a half before the landing the crew came around and handed out Ice Cream! It was pretty good but they only had vanilla.

There were amazing views as we were coming back into DFW.

We even good a good view of the plane as we deplaned.

Having flown the AA 77W recently in J, I agree that they've done a good job maintaining the cabins in good shape despite their age. It's a shame that the new cabins are delayed even more as they were supposed to start flying last year already, but I look forward to trying them...whenever they actually begin operating.
I've never been a fan of 3-4-3 Y cabin on 777s, but sadly they've become the standard. While the catering is pretty average, at least AA have a good amount of content on the IFE to keep distracted from the pain of the tiny seats haha.
Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for sharing this FR. The main look looks on par for US carriers, but I think serving an ice cream as a pre-arrival meal is pretty telling of how AA considers themselves to have a monopoly on this route. Overall, not the best showing by AA and BA would likely be the better option until retrofits occur.
I wonder if putting the seat number on the armrest actually has any impact on the speed of boarding. I would bet there is still a fair amount of musical chairs still occurring despite this.
Putting the seat number on the arm rest definitely does not help. People still take forever to board and try to unpack their bag in the aisle.
