This is my first report, so if anything is bad, sorry.
GETTING TO THE AIRPORT.
We rented a car, so we headed from the parking lot straight to the Terminal via shuttle.
Ontario had a small but nice terminal design. You don't have to search for just about anything, because it was all in 1 area. It's the perfect alternative to LAX.

A nice kiosk I found

China airlines started offering direct flights from here to Taipei in 2018.

Our flight is UA2332, with an oddly specific 1:19 departure time, and a 2:46 arrival time

I did some planespotting but not too much.

When I got to the gate, it was empty, but that was because I arrived 2 hours before the STD

Boarding finally started at around 12:40

There wasn't a good view of our plane, which was N76502, an 18 year old 738.

Business class on the 738 has a 2-2 configuration, while economy has a 3-3 configuration.

My seat, 30A, is a window seat quite a bit behind the wing.

There were some safety stuff and some other thing that I didn't really bother to look at

The plane did have an IFE, but I didn't really use it, so I won't go over it.
The legroom was fine, but I'm a kid, so that's something to keep in mind.

There's a decently large tray table.

Its got some ports and a working reading light.

The safety video is a pretty nicely assembled one, and it's really creative.

Pushback started at 1:16, 3 minutes ahead of schedule.

We raced with an American A321

At 1:33, we finally took off, headed for San Francisco.

Some nice views along the way.

Around 20 minutes after departure, they handed out snacks. It was really generous of United to hand out snacks on a 1 hour flight. AND it was good.

Around 25 before landing, we started descending. The VNAV actually did a pretty good job at maintaining a gradual descent, with the max being 2000 fpm.

When we passed 10000 feet, the crew did the final preparations before landing.

At 2:25, we intercepted the ILS.

At 2:27, we touched down. It was pretty smooth, especially considering that the 737 isn't designed to land smoothly.

Lufthansa 747

At 2:36, we parked next to a UA757.

All in all, I think United's short haul service is pretty underrated, and I think it'll be my go-to if I ever fly domestic in the U.S. again. Again, this is my first review, so sorry if the quality isnt that high.
Hi there, great job on your first Flight-Report! It’s got all the essential information and pics! Nice to see a review from ONT as there aren’t many out there. The new United Next cabins are very nice, especially as they have seat back IFE and USB-C.
The only thing is I removed the pic of the boarding pass because it showed the ticket number and reservation number. You will want to blur out that kind of into in the future. If you want you can re-upload it after you blur that part.
Nice job once again!
Thanks for sharing and welcome to Flight-Report!

ONT, like BUR and SNA are much more pleasant alternatives to LAX for domestic flights. ONT’s service to TPE is not surprisingly a lucrative route with the large passenger and cargo demand from east LA to Taiwan/Asia (as I guess you already know since you reported this route as well).
UA’s B737s are still a lottery with all kinds of generations of hard products still floating around, but getting the newest cabins definitely makes it highly competitive to international narrow body standards with IFE and charging.
