CHECK-IN & LOUNGE
Welcome to Mumbai! Today I’ll be flying to Singapore on Singapore Airlines A380-800 in their Business Class cabin.
After doing a quick document check at the airport gate, I proceeded to the Singapore Airlines counter which has a separate priority counter for Business Class passengers. The check in process was very smooth.
After check-in I headed through Security and immigration which was a bit crowded at this time of day.
After immigration I headed to the Adani West lounge as I was travelling with a friend that was in Suites. Business class guests can normally access the Adani East lounge which is also nice but can get a but crowded.

The lounge has a small First-class section which is small and set up like a dining room. It also had access to the main lounge's buffet which had a good spread of Indian and continental food on offer.

BOARDING
Boarding began on time and was really efficient. They managed to board an entire A380 in around 25 minutes Today’s aircraft was a 7 year old Singapore Airlines A380-800 (9V-SKY).

The business class cabin has 78 seats in a 1-2-1 configuration, all on the upper deck. At the front of the upper deck is 6 First class seats which SQ has dubbed 'Suites'. In my opinion, these are one of the best first class seats out there. (Make sure to check out our review of it on YouTube!)

I headed down the aisle to seat 23A, which was a window seat in the rear business class cabin. Waiting at my seat was a blanket, 2 pillows and a mattress for when the seat converts into a bed.

The seat offers a lot of legroom, however the footwell is shifted to one side which may trouble some passengers

I was offered a choice of non-alcoholic welcome drink and opted for a glass of water, which was served with a hot towel shortly after.
The door closed soon after and we were on schedule for departure from Mumbai.
AFTER TAKEOFF
After takeoff I was served a drink and some nuts. I decided to have a chamomile tea along with it. It was followed by the supper meal on this evening's 5 hour flight.

I was offered a chicken roulette which was served cold. It was honestly not that great. I used Singapore Airline's Book the Cook feature to order a mee goreng which was actually quite delicious.

I checked out the entertainment system which had a decent selection of new movies and TV shows; however, I have seen a better selection on SQ before. The noise cancelling headphones were pretty good and comfortable.
One thing that is great about Singapore Airlines is that they offer free wifi to all customers in premium cabins and all KrisFlyer members (you just have to sign up for an account!). The wifi was decently fast, good enough for texting and browsing but perhaps not for streaming.
Unfortunately, since the flight is less than 6 hours, SQ does not provide an amenity kit, which nowadays is from Le Labo.
I chose to try and get a few hours of sleep before landing into Singapore. The bedding was comfortable but since the footwell is angled to one side, it was a little uncomfortable. I would highly recommend getting the middle bulkhead seats as they have a much wider footwell.

A few hours later I was woken up as we had started our decent into Singapore.

We landed into Singapore a few minutes late and after heading through a very quick immigration process and picking up my suitcase from baggage reclaim I was on my way to the city.
