INTRO
As I continue on my trip to Yangon, this plan involves flying past Myanmar into Thailand and then backtracking to Yangon. A bit complicated, but it's the best option here.

DOH AIRPORT
Time to head to the E gates, which involves going through "The Orchard", which is a blatant knockoff of Changi's Jewel.

It's a beautiful space, with tons of natural light and greenery.

But then again, so is Changi's Jewel.

In fact, The Orchard lacks Changi's waterfall.

Rant over, time to head to the gate!

Looks like some sort of Hajj flight.

Not much to see here.

BOARDING
Time to board!

Taking me to Bangkok is A7-BAX, a 13.9 year old 777-300ER named "جريان البطنه" (Jariyan Al Batnah, a village in Qatar). It was delivered new to Qatar Airways in August 2012, and it has stayed there since.

Getting closer.

The look of that GE90 is amazing.

ONBOARD
Welcome onboard this "low-J" Qatar 777-300ER.

Since this configuration has extra economy seats in place of a mini Qsuite cabin, you can see the Collins Aerospace seats in my JFK-DOH review. Turning right, you will encounter 388 uncomfortable Recaro CL3710 seats in the cramped 3-4-3 configuration. My seat for today is 24A.

I won't get too much further into this IFE system, as it's the same as the JFK-DOH leg.

A wet towelette is handed out. Oddly, there weren't any amenity kits here.

A decent view of the GE90 and wing.

Headsets were handed out.

Typical seat contents.

DEPARTURE
Time to say goodbye to Qatar!

IN-FLIGHT
Map. The typical old Collins Airshow map.

View of the cabin after takeoff. Notice the interesting bulkhead patterns. You can just make out the Qsuite cabin.

On the previous flight, there was a full video ad for this education organization, but it's a notification here.

Let the service begin! Coffee with cream and sugar to start.

The options were a spinach frittata with chicken sausage, steamed chicken dumplings with spinach kolo mee noodles, or blackberry and chocolate chip pudding. I wanted to order something else, but I accidentally got the frittata.

It was served with a croissant, water bottle, jam, cherry yogurt, and fruit. I didn't really like this. Again, I'm a bit of a picky eater.

The sky is so beautiful, especially with that 777 wing.

Checking the flight with Flightradar24 and Starlink. The WiFi was shut off over Indian airspace.

In that case, time to find whatever I can!

Seat reclined, blanked on, time to get the remote- oh wait, it's stuck.

Finally, I have a use of my school lunch pass card since I'm on summer break!

Perfect. F1 seemed fine, but I decided to nap until the flight left Indian airspace so I could get back on the WiFi.

Some time after, a bleh Mexican corn chicken puff was served.

Finally, my first glimpse of Burmese soil in over 6 years!

ARRIVAL
As the flight enters Thai airspace, my time with Qatar Airways for today is coming to an end.

Beautiful clouds.

Beautiful mood lighting.

Uh oh, we're in a holding pattern! Who knows what will happen to my Myanmar National Airlines connection?

Joining two others in the pattern.

An Emirates A380 has joined, but others are leaving. Hopefully, it isn't long.

Out of the pattern!

Beautiful night lights. You know you're in Thailand when you realize that the traffic is inverted compared to the USA!

Welcome to Bangkok!

Why is Naypyidaw so emphasized compared to the other cities?

Seatbelt sign is off.

Last look at the cabin.

Onto the jetway. An airport employee dressed in a QR uniform was waiting for me to help with the transfer.

Taking the train to the main concourse. I love the jingles of the train!

Transfer desk at BKK, looks like they're using Korean Air templates by the background and font. To be continued…
