ZRH Airport
Hello and Good Morning.
This flight is the first one of my short weekend itinerary to Dubai.
I arrived at ZRH early this morning.
I did not have Elite Plus status at the time of that flight yet, so I had to use Priority Pass to access a lounge. In Zurich, this means either the Merhaba or the Aspire Lounge. My go to was always the aspire, as it is WAYY better than the Merhaba Lounge. It also offers a view into the public area of the airport before the security checkpoint.
However, I did not have that much time and just grabbed a quick orange juice before heading to the gate.
Today, we will be departing from the remote stand, so we will all be bussed to the aircraft.
The A-remote gates are also in a different area of the terminal, which is quite a walk to get to.
And this is what that area looks like:
Boarding
We stared boarding with a 20 minute delay. Priority boarding was a thing, but did not bring benefits since they just had to wait in the bus longer, since ZRH does not use separate buses for Priority / Non Priority passengers. So first in the bus = last in the aircraft. At least seats were available in the bus tho.
Today's ride will be "Macon", a 4 year old A220-300, registered as F-HPNQ.
Flight
I gotta say, I really like that they have adjustable headrests on short haul aircraft and the embroided air france logo looks noble.
Due to the late boarding, we also started rolling late and did our first movement at 8:09am, a good 24minutes delayed. This continued to take off, where we took off at 8:18.
As for the meal, we got a lemon cake and our choice of coffee or tea, along with a water and orange juice. nice.
Then, I enjoyed some window views.
And before I knew it, we already started our descent into paris. We were approaching 26L, so no eiffel tower view for me unfortunately.
We then touched down at 9:15am, 15 minutes behind schedule.
We then had an entire airport tour for our 20 minute taxi to our gate.
It had also started to rain in the meantime.
We arrived at our gate at 9:35, 25 minutes delayed. Total airtime was 1h and 5 minutes.
and I am now off to my connecting flight to Dubai.
