Hi!
I just landed from ZRH on my inbound flight, which was unfortunately 1h delayed, and am heading to Hall M, from where I will depart to Korea in a couple hours.

So bye-bye F-HOZE. My connecting flight will be operated on a 2 year old A359 named "Les Sables d'Olonne", registered as F-HUVB and inbound from Sao Paulo (GRU). I'm really looking forward to it, since the A350 is my favourite aircraft.
Connection

Connection in CDG is the usual stuff. At Passport control, i was routed into the SkyPriority Non-EU Passport lane to the Parafe gates, where a officer sent me back to the EU Parafe gates. Quite annoyinh detour, especially since staff told me to use the non-EU lane. But there was no queue at the eGates so no stress. After passport control was done, we were bussed to the M gates, which luckily skips security control.
I really like the Design of the M Area.

The entire connection took me about 25 minutes.
Air France Salon 2E - Hall M
I had access to the AirFrance Lounge which is spacious, with lots of natural light. However, I noted a lack of power outlets and the chairs were not the most comfortable. So I definitively prefer other AF lounges over this one, though it is a welcome space to spend my 5h connection in.

This is the design of the lounge:

For food, I started with some more breakfast, consisting if scrambled eggs, bacon and a mini baguette with jam.

Then a lady passed by and offered champagne. I accepted and also headed to get dessert and lunch.

Then it was time to go to Boarding
Boarding and Cabin
Boarding took place from M24.

We had to wait 15minutes inside the jetbridge before entering the plane.

I was seated in 1L, which is a special business class seat because it provides far more space than the regular ones. I could reserve it for free thanks to my FB status.

There was a tablet to control the screen but i was unable to connect it, since the keyboard didn't show and I couldn't enter the connection pin. So i just used it for seat and window controls.

The seat was also equipped with touch screen seat controls at an annoying position because sometimes while eating, my elbow touched it and the seat started moving.
It had a power outlet, usb outlet and wireless charging pad. The giant IFE Screen also supported bluetooth (nice). For your coat, there was a little wardrobe with mirror and for the bagpack a drawer under the footrest.
However, there were no individual air vents.
Wifi was available for a fee.
It is worth noting that the table hadn't been cleaned.

Flight
Preseparture drink, menu, amenity kit and hot towels were handed out.

The front toilet was spacious, although closed for the entire flight for "crew use".

The first meal service arrived. I did not like the appetizer at all.m but the main course was delicious. Very tender meat. For dessert, you had to choose between the cake OR the icecream and I chose the icecream.

Then i enjoyed a cognac and it was time to get some sleep.

I actually slept the "wrong way" because i'm a belly sleeper and the headrest was uncomfortable so i had my head in the foot area which was VERY spacious. It was very comfortable and I got around 4 hours of sleep.
I oncd wantes to get another water and used crew button but even after 15 minutes no one appeared so I got it myself.
Before landing, the breakfast was served. Even though I said I only wantes the pastry and did not need the rest, i was served the whole tray.

Then it was already time to land at ICN.
Quick shot of an Asiana before they disappear.

We arrived at the gate exactly on time.

Now let's go enjoy Seoul!
Lovely report. These new AF cabins are so nice, so it's a shame they didn't bother to properly clean it! Finding such a dirty table is not acceptable in long-haul Business, or even in Economy!
Closing off the forward lav the whole flight for crew use seems very odd indeed. I hope it was a one-off situation for a special circumstance and not something new.
Smart! I suppose that would only work in row 1 hah
Thanks for sharing!
Hi
Yes, the not cleaned cabin was really disappointing. Regarding the lavatory, I at least assumed it was closed the entire flight. During the flight, I went about 8 times and it was always closed off with the "crew only" curtain, so I had to use the rear one, which was noticeably smaller. But I am with you, the cabin itself was GREAT and actually felt more like a little "mini first class" on LX than a business class seat, so paying extra for row 1 (and I think 10 as well) is worth it (or for free as Elite+)
