Today's journey starts from the capital city of Santiago in Chile.

After an amazing few days we headed over to Santiago International Airport to catch our flight over to Buenos Aires.

Both a KLM and Air France flight depart within 30 minutes here at SCL, so the check-in desks were naturally very busy.

This didn't really apply to us though as we were eligible for the Sky Priority lane and it was almost empty. We just bypassed the entire queue and managed to bag drop really quickly.

Super efficient service from KLM.

As we transited through security, this light aircraft is stationed inside the security hall. What a cool feature!

Post security, we had access to a lounge with KLM business class ticket.

For us, it was the SkyTeam Alliance lounge.

I loved this artwork! How cool is this?

There's a bar, although alcoholic beverages are restricted until the afternoon.

There's a small office area for printing documents or completing work.

And towards the rear, a small help yourself buffet style setup.

We grabbed a seat next to the floor-to-ceiling windows, to nab great views of the apron and runway.

There was also four a la carte options available which consisted of scrambled eggs (top left), a quiche lorraine with salad (top right), a vegetarian broccoli and cheese quiche with salad (bottom right) and french toast with strawberries and syrup, all available to order through the SkyTeam Lounge QR code.

There was also several continental options, too.

After filling up, we went to the gate ready to board our aircraft which flies in daily from Buenos Aires. The crew operate AMS-EZE before taking a nights rest, the day after they operate the round-trip EZE-SCL-EZE fifth-freedom leg before taking a further nights rest, and then operate the EZE-AMS leg back home.

Business class benefits from Sky Priority Zone 1 boarding.

Our aircraft today is PH-BQE, a 22 and a bit year old Boeing 777-200ER.

And with that, we were the first to head down the airbridge and board the aircraft.

We headed down the first aisle as I was seated in 4A, and the husband just ahead in 3A.

And I must admit, first impressions were very good. I like the look of this seat.

The seat benefits from a very comfortable and cushioned leather headrest.

There was also a full sized soft cotton pillow waiting for me on the seat.

There's a crystal clear IFE screen ahead of me.

Touch-sensitive buttons for adjusting the seat, enabling the massage feature and the do not disturb sign.

There's a storage cupboard to the left.

And even on this short flight, KLM give you a set of noise cancelling headphones.

There's also an adjustable leather armrest to the right of the seat.

And excellent legroom, there's certainly no complaints in this department!

Then just before pushback, we were handed a personalised route specific dated menu for our flight from SCL-EZE.

This was accompanied by a selection of welcome drink.

I opted for a glass of KLM's "Royal Blue" mocktail. It was delicious!

We then roared into the air out of SCL.

The seatbelt sign stayed on longer than normal owing to our circling pattern before we crossed the Andes mountains. It does get quite bumpy on the climb out.

The views though are ABSOLUTELY worth it.

Once safe to do so, the crew began their service. This started with a hot towel.

My table was then laid with a lovely patterned, white cotton tablecloth.

I took the time to peruse the drinks. The offering was very good for such a short flight.

I bumped the in-flight map onto the IFE screen. You can also port content to the smaller remote. I really like airlines that offer this feature.

And just like that, lunch was served! What a spread.

All metal cutlery was provided by KLM. A good plus point.

My starter was a marinated smoked trout with dill served with cream cheese-horseradish, courgette roll and pea hummus.

A pumpkin topped wholewheat roll, served warm, with butter.

My main course was a tenderloin beef fillet roll filled with dried tomato, cheese and arugula served with roasted garlic and cheese mashed potatoes, provençal courgette and creamy mushroom sauce. It was superb.

Dessert was a traditional Alfajor with chocolate.

To drink, I opted for the Bols Curacao Dry Orange with angostura bitters. Tart and sweet, a perfect compliment to my meal.

The crew then came around offering chocolates for all passengers in business class. These were in the shape of their iconic Delft Houses.

The husband was super happy that he got his glass of milk, too. Talk about service highlights!

I quickly tested out the bed, it was really comfortable and supportive. The pillow was great, too. It would definitely come into it's own on long haul sectors for sure.

The legroom was also really good. Plenty of room to move.

The toilets were exceptionally clean with Marie Stella Marie toiletries on offer, not to mention the funky Delft House wall design to the left.

There was even a tulip on display. How neat!

Much to my surprise, the cabin crew then brought around the tray of Delft Houses, offering each passenger a takeaway keepsake. They're made of ceramic and are highly sought-after collectables given to World Business Class passengers on intercontinental flights. Filled with genuine Dutch gin, each tiny ceramic building replicates a real historical structure in the Netherlands.

We opted for 2026 numbers 97 and 95.

These were a replica of the a famous Hotel New York in Rotterdam (left), and a replica of the historic 1913 Heineken Brewery in Amsterdam (right).

And that was it, we began our descent into Buenos Aires. This flight flew (if you'll pardon the pun!).

We got a great view of the scenery as we descended into Argentina.

And that my friends, was a perfectly executed business class experience. 10/10, no notes - it was an absolute pleasure to fly KLM's World Business Class, albeit on such a short fifth-freedom leg. Thanks for reading and watching and as always, I'll see you next week.
