Hey there, thanks for joining me on this one. This summer, we decided to escape the Dubai heat and head somewhere green, cool, and by the sea — Batumi, on Georgia's Black Sea coast. It was our first time in Georgia, and we ended up spending a whole week there. Flydubai, the Dubai-based carrier out of Terminal 2, got us there on their FZ 725 morning service. Come along as I walk you through the whole experience, from a busy DXB Terminal 2 to touchdown on the Black Sea.
I booked right on the flydubai site, and it was super smooth – clear prices, no surprises when paying. We chose the Value fare, which for this trip meant checked bags, seat choice, and a meal, perfect for a family without splurging on Flex. Online check-in opened the day before and took no time at all, letting us grab seats together early.

Flydubai mainly uses DXB's Terminal 2, which is way different from the huge Terminal 3 next door — it's smaller, more practical, and since it was the start of summer vacation, super busy. The check-in area looked like it would eat up a good 30 minutes of our morning.
Here's a really useful tip if you have status: as Skywards members, we got to use the fast-track lane, and what seemed like a 30-minute wait turned into about 10 minutes from start to finish with our boarding passes. Bag drop was quick and the agents were nice.

The plane today was a Boeing 737 MAX 8 – flydubai's usual and one of the newer ones out there. Getting on, the cabin felt new and modern right away: clean look, that new-plane vibe, and much bigger overhead bins than on older 737s, so no fighting for space even when it was full.
The economy seats were actually pretty good — comfy and well-padded, with enough legroom for the 3.5-hour flight. They didn't look worn out at all, which was nice. For a short flight, this is probably as good as economy gets.

The cabin crew was awesome – super competent, attentive, and genuinely warm without being in your face. They were always walking the aisles, like every 15 minutes, keeping things tidy and checking on everyone. I'd ordered a special meal, and honestly, both the portion and the taste were way better than I expected for a short economy flight. The service was perfectly timed throughout the whole trip.
Flydubai's 737s have seatback IFE, which is pretty cool for short flights these days, and it worked great. They had new movies in awesome resolution, plus that moving map I kept checking out. Just a heads-up for anyone planning a trip: no Wi-Fi on this flight, so download anything you want beforehand. For a 3.5-hour flight, that screen really came in handy.

We landed in Batumi right on time. It's a small airport, and even though it wasn't the quickest arrival I've had, it was totally fine — immigration and bags moved at a good speed, and we were out and heading into the city without any real holdups.
Nice first review! The cabin does indeed look very modern and inviting for a hybrid/LCC. The screens are huge! Just missing a photo of the meal, otherwise great review! Would definitely want to try FlyDubai someday.
Thanks for sharing and welcome !
Welcome to Flight-Report, nice cabin indeed.
Do you have a picture of the meal served?
Thanks.
