Welcome to my report of IndiGo airways between Bangalore and Jaipur, India.
We arrived at the Banglauru International Airport around 2pm for a 4:15 departure. To enter the airport itself, it was compulsory to show flight reservations and passports, as well as a quick security screening of baggage.
The lines for Indigo check in were very quick, but the staff wasn't very knowledgable. We had accumulated 80 kilos total of overweight baggage for the reservation of 9 pax, and nobody at the counter knew how much it would cost, or even how to charge us for the baggage. They then sent me to the Indigo Ticket office to pay for it. The ticket office then told us to call offices in Mumbai, so we did. Nobody answered. After a heated conversation with the initial staffer at the check in desk, she just entered each bag as 15kilos, which is included in every reservation. They finally let the checked baggage go for free.
At least the check in area is clean and open

Security was rapid and efficient. Like all Indian airports, there were gender separated screening lines.
The food options were average and overpriced.

An AirAsia India A320 taxiing with sharklets:
Our gate was on the ground level and we boarded via Pax Bus right on time
Tarmac view

Approaching todays ride :)

There were two flight attendants waiting to greet passengers at the rear door with great smiles
The cabin was very new and very comfortable

The safety card made us all giggle a little bit

Buy on Board options seemed thorough and well priced

The very slim seat provided great comfort, well beyond AirFrance short haul

Indian Sky

FA's passed through the cabin offering food, drinks, and smiles. After the initial service, they also passed two more times, just with water though. Not bad for a quick domestic hop.
Another Quick Cabin View

Descent Into Jaipur. You can tell its very hot and hazy down there

Early Arrival is always a great thing

The ticket office is outside of the airport, because you need reservation documents to enter in Jaipur too!

Finally, a hazy Jaipur Sunset. It reached 46 Celsius in Jaipur all week!

Thank you for sharing. Great report!
Did the seats recline?
The seats had a generous recline
Glad you enjoyed the report :)
Thank you for sharing this very good report !
For domestic travel into India, Indigo and SpiceJet are the best airlines, Air India is too much expensive.
If it's not intrusive, how much did you pay for this ticket ?
Good Buy on Board.
Thanks again. See you next time ! :)
Per person the flight was about $64 USD - a great price!
Thanks for sharing this next segment on your trip on a rarely reported airline! Indigo seems like a good choice for Indian domestic travel. The ground staff's incompetence worked out in your favor for the bag fees :-)
Great detailed report!
